Welcome to The Wandering Ducks! We're two old hippies who bought a little piece of land and decided to share it with fellow wanderers. Whether you're traveling in an RV, pitching a tent, or simply looking for a peaceful escape, you're welcome here. Enjoy quiet nights, campfires, open skies, and the company of our ducks and other friendly critters. We believe in kindness, good vibes, and creating a place where people from all walks of life can relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature.Tucked away in the quiet woods of Wilmer, Alabama, The Wandering Ducks is a peaceful, family-run camping spot built for slowing down and reconnecting with nature. Our property is calm, private, and intentionally simple — perfect for guests looking to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. We are a quiet, kid-friendly and pet-friendly campsite, welcoming travelers of all kinds who respect the land and the laid-back vibe. One of the sweetest parts of staying here? Our friendly ducks roaming the property, adding a little charm and personality to your stay. We also have some barn cats and a dog. All of which love people and attention lol Nearby, you’ll find plenty of local attractions and outdoor adventures within a short drive: * Escatawpa Hollow & River access for swimming, kayaking, and fishing Less than 10 mins away * Bellingrath Gardens & Home (beautiful seasonal gardens) * Downtown Mobile (restaurants, nightlife, and history) * Dauphin Island beaches (about an hour away) * Hiking, wildlife viewing, and scenic backroads all around Mobile County At The Wandering Ducks, you get the best of both worlds — peaceful countryside camping with easy access to Gulf Coast attractions.
