This ranch has beautiful views with the back deck of the saloon as the jewel. This isn't just an overnight stop it's an experience. Stroll through the small western town we have built on the property and join us at the covered arena as we work horses. Whiskey Pitch is a beautiful wooded secluded campsite at the Tack Tavern Ranch in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. This is a working horse ranch with animals of every kind, horses, cats, dogs, chickens and whatever wildlife happens to stroll by on our 100 scenic acres. 30 acres of managed hiking trails, Old West Town, including a saloon and general store, as well as a tack store and additional antique store. You will be provided with a roomy campsite with a picnic table, fire ring with cooking grates, firewood and trash bin, with access to the covered deck on the Western town to view the rolling acres of horse filled pastures. Relax and enjoy scenic horse country.

Creek House

This whole site was awesome. The western village was cool and the porch was perfect for sitting and watching the world go by. Lorna was a great host and we enjoyed talking all night on the porch. Her little dogs are all little characters and they got along with our rotty and beagle no problem. The creek house itself was extremely comfortable and had everything we could have needed. If I knew what I was in for I would have booked for longer.

The property is beautiful. We loved watching the horses in the pasture. The barn cats and many dogs were adorable. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable. It’s a great place to get away

Whiskey Pitch

Lorna and Denny are amazing individuals who are very hospitable and friendly. We enjoyed our time at the Tack Tavern Ranch, we just wish we had more time there. Lorna and Denny have set up their ranch so beautifully from all the animals, the rolling hills, the delicious canned goods in the store, and a very fun saloon as a place to gather and enjoy company. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again!
