It is on historic Big Canoe Creek and has 3 platforms from which to enjoy the property: canoe/fishing pier on creekbank, picnic/bbq porch with table and grill beneath two 300 year old white oaks with a view down creek, and the nightfall porch, perched above the complex with a 400' look up creek. There was a Creek Indian Village less than 1/2 mile up creek from tree house, it was named Littafatchee which means "makers of arrows", and was explored by herando DeSoto in 1540 when he came thru this part of Alabama.
