This was our first time in a travel trailer so needed somewhere that had easy facilities. We didn't think we would find anywhere since it was Labor Day weekend, but then found River Ridge. The campground is very easy to get to and each site is a pull through. The grounds are very well kept, sites clean and level. Bathrooms were spotless. They had water slides for the kids and bingo for the adults. Will definitely visit here again.

We recently spent the weekend at this campground and had a truly relaxing and peaceful experience. If you're looking for a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle, this place is perfect. The sites were well-spaced, allowing for privacy and minimal noise from neighbors. It was so refreshing to wake up to the sound of birds instead of traffic!
The surroundings were beautifully maintained, with lots of trees providing shade and a sense of seclusion. The staff was friendly and helpful without being intrusive.
Whether you're camping solo, as a couple, or with family, this is a great spot to unwind and recharge. We spent our days reading, walking nearby trails, driving along the lake's winding roads, and enjoying the calm atmosphere.

Great way to relax. Property appears to be expanding, so more potential on the way. Plenty of ways to access the lake, as well as plenty of space at each spot for any RV.

My family had a great experience here. It was a very peaceful place with little noise.
There isn’t much to do on site which might be a problem for anyone that has to have something to do at all times but there are plenty of things to do around town.
I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a quiet place near the water to chill. My wife and I will likely go back.

Tennessee River. Drive-By Truckers.

I had a great spot that overlooked an inlet of the Tennessee River. It was stunning.
I learned that this entire area is part of a land grant to conserve nature for the public.
This part of Alabama is beautiful and my stay was complimented with an ice cold beer and listening to the Southern Rock Opera by the Drive-By Truckers, also from northern Alabama.

Very friendly people . We enjoyed the free hot dog lunch on Saturday. Clean lots. Mary was super responsive to any questions I had. The lake view is pretty with a hammock .

This campsite is absolutely gorgeous, and the people we met there were incredible. I couldn't recommend River Ridge Retreat enough to fellow campers.

The sites were great. Large and level with good gravel and grass. There was good lake access for swimming and lots of shade near the lake. It was a long walk from the fawn campground so if you don’t want to get your steps in rent a golf cart.
