We loved this campground and grabbed a great site with a nice river view. The campground was quiet and clean. However, I ordered and paid for firewood. ..but never got it.

This campsite was so far the most “Forrest vibe” we had. I like that there were trash bins everywhere. The site was spaced out which gives us more privacy. The views are amazing. We came there before 6. We didnt get to see the host, i bet he was busy because we camped for thanksgiving day. But still he responds to messages. Great experience overall

The site itself was fine, a little bit more open than we expected but fine. The host was generous with firewood and the bath house was great. Overall, a nice campground for paddling around the Tenesaw River delta and doing a little fishing, just a few other campers maybe over staying their welcome.

Nice place to camp over looking the water! Just disappointed we never got the fire wood bundle that was supposed to be provided.

The sites were well maintained, spaced enough to maintain privacy, and the host came around so I had an opportunity to buy the firewood I previously forgot to order. On the one night I was there the campers in the four other occupied sites were respectful and quiet. It was the most restful sleep I’ve had while camping. I wish I could have stayed longer! I will definitely stay here again next time I’m passing through.

Great place! Easy to find, good directions, super clean sites, plenty of space for each site, and beautiful views of the water. This is a family favorite for the Kayak and fishing. We will return.

I booked this site to try to evacuate from Hurricane Delta. After I booked the wether shifted showing lots of rain in this area. I did book knowing that Michael had a moderate cancellation policy. When I texted saying I would need to cancel because of the Hurricane weather shifting, and asking if I could receive a refund given the circumstances, I never heard back. The place looks great, but I didn’t get to go, and I wish I could have at least had some response.

We enjoyed the night we had for camping. Site was clean and well kept. We never saw our host or got our fire wood we had ordered. I dont know if it was because it was 6pm when we got there and if he was already off but it didn't bother us. We had a great time regardless.

Honestly me and my wife are new to camping and wanted to pick it up as a hobby during our down time. It was fun coming to this location as it provided a lot of amenities. One thing that I was a little upset about but wasn’t major was the check in process as well as getting our firewood that we paid for and didn’t get.

I was not aware this was state property. Beautiful land and well maintained but we thought it was a private land experience. Whomever is host was unclear and the communication was spotty to none. I asked several questions via the app and texting and we never got responses back. We asked for a refund for the kayaks we reserved, only because of rain and that would have been our first time in kayaks so we didn’t feel secure about kayaking in the rain. No response. No refund. I will never stay here again because being in consistent communication with someone is important to us when in unfamiliar territory but apparently not to the these folks.

Live oak landing was absolutely beautiful. I definitely recommend kayaking because the river inlet was stunning!
The background campsites were a bit hard to find at first, but once we got set up there were no problems.
I never actually met Michael, however he was pretty quick to respond to my texts/calls.
Id probably recommend this place to friends who want to camp.

My boyfriend and I loved our stay here. The river is absolutely gorgeous. I had to say though, I didn't know that Live Oak Landing was a big park. I thought it was privately owned with just a few campsites. In the tent camping area I think there were about 20 sites. We got to pick which one we wanted upon arrival so we chose one more private. There is a shower and toilet like the listing says, but it's in the RV camping section, which is a bit of a walk or a short bike away. We didn't try any of the trails that were there (they weren't marked very well) but we ended up driving 20 minutes to Blakeley State Park and riding our bikes there. Overall, I would highly recommend. It was cheap, clean, and had everything we needed.

Great campsite that had the private/primitive feel yet with comfort amenities. Clean, well maintained land, spacious, beautiful sites along the river. Cody (Staff members) was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Bathrooms/shower were the cleanest I’ve ever been to. Definitely would come back to stay again!

My boyfriend and I camped here over night on our return road trip from North Carolina to Texas and it worked out perfectly - it’s right off of 65 with a gas station nearby for quick refueling. I was able to connect with Michael on the phone with instructions for check in after 6pm, Christian came around to greet us that evening (After we arrived late) and asked us if we needed anything, then we filled out park paperwork the next morning, easy peasy. A lovely spot on the river with warm hospitality and great communication. We’ve already talked about it being a stopover for us on our next big trip East.

Beautiful campground, and tent spots are right on the river. Got there after dark, but was able to find the spot fine. Just wished I knew how close to the boat launch I was- the launches started at 4:30am!

Campground was very clean and well maintained!!! It was much to hit to be camping but we had a great time anyway. Look forward to coming back when the heat index drops

Upon arrival we took a quick loop almost missing the trail sign (our fault) we were too excited to get started. My boyfriend, our Aussie and another couple and their Aussie shepherd mix found ourselves right in the middle of an adventure of a lifetime.
We unloaded the kayaks at the dock, which was very well kept and clean. The boys loaded them up while us girls loaded the gear and got ready to back pack it with the dogs.
We brought radios to communicate with the guys to make sure they wouldn’t go too far up the river.
Make sure you follow the signs, pack accordingly and if you can’t pack in and pack out then try the primitive grounds that still offer an amazing chance to be secluded but have the ability to drive in and drive out.
Highly recommend it and Cody was the best checking in and was super personable and went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information we needed before heading out.
Sites were clean but if you have the option being an extra bag to help out! So much nature and wildlife, and beauty in seclusion. It’s a great adventure for those willing to send it!

Directions were clear. Michael was excellent and super helpful. Bathrooms and showers were IMMACULATE. Site itself tended to be a bit loud with road noise and there were SO many flies. Luckily we had lemongrass spray which quickly solved that. Otherwise, site was excellent.

Had a wonderful experience staying here! Loved being away from everything but i recommend bringing a wagon to carry your gear back to the campsite if you have alot! Beautiful woods and creek and loved have a boat launch close for when we wanted to go out and about in the boat. Will definitely be coming back!

Got a bit confused about the backcountry versus primitive camp ground sites. The camp hosts were super nice about us setting up at the wrong site and let us stay there since it was not reserved. But if you are looking for the backcountry sites, make sure to ask for clarified instruction on how to get there

We had a lovely stay at Live Oak Landing. The river at sunset was absolutely spectacular! Incredible views over the water. Our host brought us some firewood for $5 and was very welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again!
