False Advertisement
My review is nothing against Jason (the owner) or his hospitality. Upon arriving we were directed to the only RV hook-up space on the property, which (when parked) was about 6-7 feet from the front door of our camper to a house that was clearly being lived in. This meant we were unable to use our awning or outdoor kitchen to enjoy our time outside. The space is also on a main residential road. We felt that what was advertised in the listing description and photos were nothing like what we found when we arrived. Again, Jason was very nice and even gave us duck eggs from the farm when we arrived. However, we ended up leaving after only a few hours to a local state park which is more of what we were looking for.

Great experience.
We will definitely be returning to Hog on the Range. Jason's mom Karla spent a lot of time with us answering questions about the animals. We were fortunate to have arrived after one of the hogs had given birth. Karla even let me bottle feed one.

So much fun!!
This Hipcamp was awesome. The property is beautiful, with an orchard & a nice pond, which is near where we set up camp. The bathroom provided is in the back of the hosts’ house, and it was really nice to have a flush toilet/sink available. There are lots of animals on the farm & at the time we went, a pig had just had piglets!! The hosts were incredible — so friendly & welcoming. You can tell they really love their farm & love to share it with other people. They let us feed some of the animals, hold some of the piglets, & even gave us some fresh eggs to take home with us. Overall this was a great stay & I would highly recommend!

Not a good camping place
I would not recommend this camping spot. I had booked for 2 days but when I arrived and saw that the site was no anything as described I decided to no stay the second night. The description of the property and what was offered was not at all what it said to be. I asked about the places to fish and was told the pond was the only place and it was catch and release. That was the first I knew of that rule. There were fire ants everywhere and the field we were told to park in wasn’t well kept at all. I would not go to this place.

Great Hosts, Great Campsite!
We stayed here two nights as a stop in-between to longer stays. It was honestly amazing and we could have stayed longer! We have a 4 year old daughter that loved seeing the animals anytime she wanted, and our 12 year old dog loved having free range of the property. The hosts are more than accommodating, they were very communicative and even let us know when they were feeding the animals so our daughter could help. The full hook up spot is close to one of the houses but we felt it had ample space for our 23ft trailer and the views out our bedroom window were only of orchard and the pond so we didn't notice at all. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice private night or two with enough onsite activities to keep you entertained.
