We had a fantastic stay! The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet just a few minutes from downtown and Northport. Brian was an excellent host and very communicative. Heads up for RV travelers: the gravel driveway is steep, and we needed 4WD to get our 25-foot camper up. Just be prepared if you have a larger rig. We’ll definitely be back!

We had such a fun and memorable stay at Happy Hoves! Our visit even included a surprise guest—a curious goat who wandered in to check out our site. While he wasn’t Brian’s goat, our host was quick to step in and try to catch him and figure out where he belonged. It made for a lighthearted and unforgettable twist to our trip, and we appreciated how attentive and responsive Brian was. The hosts were genuinely friendly, helpful, and easy to reach, which made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The location was also great for us—we were even able to Uber to a concert nearby, which was a huge bonus. Our hilltop site was one driveway down from the GPS address, just up the paved road on the left. Once we had the directions, it was easy to find. The spot itself was peaceful and scenic, a perfect mix of privacy and open views. We did need to use leveling blocks for our rig since the site had a bit of slope, but that was no issue and pretty typical for hillside camping. Between the welcoming hosts, the convenient location, and our unique goat encounter, this stay will definitely be one we remember. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend Happy Hoves to anyone looking for a friendly, scenic, and well-located Hipcamp spot.

We had a great stay very quiet had a deer visit us this morning host was great to work with very responsive old messages. We stayed there to go to the game. Uber was there to pick us up in five minutes had the city convenience with the country lifestyle?

This was a great experience. Brian and his wife were very friendly and made our overnight stay comfortable and enjoyable. There was even a special event that made our stop extra meaningful for our 7-year-old granddaughter. Just hours before our arrival, one of their goats had 2 kids! Our granddaughter was able to hold and cuddle the newborns. We even stopped by the next morning on the way out to say goodbye to the newborns. The site up on the hill (earlier rain made the field too wet) was perfect. Thanks Brian!

Awesome hosts

Before we arrived, Brian let us know the field was really muddy from the rain, so he moved us to the hill, which had an awesome view of the wooded neighborhood and the night sky was amazing. He met us as we pulled in to make sure we were ok. Although the hill was in the open, it still offered privacy, as it was surrounded by the forest. The only issue was that the gravel was black and grey, and without shade, the a/c in our camper had a hard time keeping us cool during the day. We visited the goats, and Brian's wife, Katie, was very pleasant and allowed us in the field to interact with them (the goats were a little shy though). I would highly recommend Happy Hooves Farm and would love to stay again.

Quiet, Spacious Field

We enjoyed parking our travel trailer and sleeping peacefully in the quiet, spacious field. We woke up to views of towering oaks hugging the hillsides. Arriving after dark was not a problem as Brian's description of the sight was accurate and his instructions were easy to follow. Would stay here again.

Private & Off Leash Friendly

Great private spot in a fenced in field/pasture area. Utilities were located at the back corner so you had the whole field to yourself. Our dog loved running around off leash. We were welcome by Brian shortly after we arrived and he was quick with all communications. We did require 4WD to pull our travel trailer up the somewhat steep gravel drive way. There were some muddy spots and some ant hills to be mindful of. We would definitely stop here again. T-Mobile home internet was about 170 MBPS.

It’s a cozy plot of land. The owner is very welcoming and helpful caretaker. The neighbors were being odd, but the owner was very open to help out and resolved the situation. Would recommend!

Wonderful Host!

My friends and I stayed here during the season’s first freeze, camping in a tent. After leaving for the Alabama game, we returned to find a fire pit, firewood, a propane tank to keep the fire going, and a grill grate all thoughtfully provided without us even asking. Brian was incredibly responsive to any questions, and the campsite was peaceful and well maintained. In the morning, we had the joy of playing fetch with their friendly dog, which added to the charm of the experience. I highly recommend staying here it was truly wonderful!

Great place with wonderful host

Brian, his dog were very hospitable and all the farm animals were a treat. The upper gravel area overlooking the goat field was perfect for us. Found a level spot hooked into power and we were set to enjoy the quiet interspursed with the nighttime noises from the nature all around. Definately stop here again when journeying through.
