Dark Hollow Park provides beautiful, private, and secure primative campsites. Potable water and a composting privey are available. The camp host is on site if there are any questions. There is a one-mile hiking trail, a small stream and waterfalls located a short hike down into Dark Hollow. The Hollow is rich in history. There is a small Amphitheater in the bottom of the hollow where permanent water remains year round. Dark Hollow has played many rolls from sancuary to battleground over the years. There are numerous activities with in a short distance.Dark Hollow is a beautiful property with plenty of tenting options. We have eight named sites that each accomdate several tents. Only four are occupied at any given time. Small trailers and rv's have several options depending on size. You may reserve a specific site if you message me in advance. Children under 12 stay for free here. Campers often hear lions, tigers, or wolves from the sanctuary located in Sand Valley below. The terrain is rugged with a steep hike down to the creek. There are many hiking trails throughout the 14 acres. The more primative campsites require a hike to the farside of the property. Dark Hollow has a rich history of use due to the year around water sources and the terrain providing a defensible position. The Amphitheater located in the bottom of the hollow is unique and gives a glimpse into the past. The camp host "Zed" or "Strider" will meet you to help find your campsite and give a brief orientation upon arrival. A firewood bundle is a wheelbarrow full. The quietest day of the week is Sunday. Happy camping.

Dark Hollow
Had an absolutely amazing time at this great spot. It was nice to not have to keep our dog on a leash so he could enjoy his time too. There were the most amazing views from our site. The nature trail was a great workout. The most relaxing weekend I’ve had all year. This will be our go to nearby spot from now on! Oh and be sure to look out for Jed, he’s just the character.

The land had beautiful choices of sites to pick from. Toilets and showers were easily accessible and made for a clean and enjoyable trip. The trails throughout the land were not beginner friendly though. As an intermediate hiker, i thoroughly enjoyed the trials and views along the trails. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I would go back to Dark Hollow to enjoy more.

10 out of 10!
Awesome camp site and host. Beautiful views. Perfect for our overreactive pups to get some open space to run and get used to being off leash a little bit. Highly recommend. Also, definitely upgrade and get the firewood bundle! We got a lot more wood than expected and it lasted us 2 days.

Beautiful property with multiple sites to choose from! Don’t miss the outdoor toilet and shower. The cars on the road weren’t an issue at night as it’s a quieter road anyway. The hike to the creek is also beautiful.

Very satisfied
Honestly, it was a great experience! The one downfall on the site was that I did not have cell service to communicate with the host. We planned a very last minute night. Fortunately, the other campers were able to give us a quick run down and we found a site (not sure if the site, eek sorry). They also helped us locate the fire wood on the premisis and porta john not far from entrance. We woke up and explored only a few yards from our site and found a different site with a lovely mountain view. The sites we saw had picnic tables and fire rings with enough room for a tent and the site we had we drove into and stayed right in our truck. Highly recommend this site! We will return to explore the land more. Thank you Danny. Hope to meet you next time we will arrive earlier! Everything you need is just at the entryway.
