Weekend escape for hikers & climber
Cedar Springs is the perfect quiet weekend escape from the city. An hour from Lexington, a peaceful site with no one else around and looking over the sprawling hills. Easy access off KY11 keeps you close to restaurants and all the hiking. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful countryside to explore
Totally enjoyed our stay at Cedar Springs. While we like primitive camping, with overnight temperatures below 32 we wanted to set up our trailer where the hookup was located. We explored the property and its really nice with very interesting canyon and countryside. I got a little lost trying to find the exact entrance (my bad reading the instructions) and Jamie drove out to find me and guide me to the hook up. I definitely can recommend this location to others.
Amazing open spaces
Jamie’s property was amazing! We pulled in late and the RV spot right off the road was extremely easy to pull in and set up. In the morning we explored the property. The waterfall was beautiful, and it was fun to see the horses. Jamie suggested we drive out to see the view behind the rental house on the property. It was beyond words. We also got to meet his father who was just lovely and shared other highlights of the area. We are so glad we got off the interstate to find this hidden gem! It was our first Hipcamp experience and we are sold!
Attentive host & beautiful land
This was our first hipcamp experience and we were very impressed! We needed a last minute place to stay and Jaime quickly responded to our inquiry. He came to meet us after we were settled in and offered help in the event we needed any. The land was beautiful with horses, rolling hills, and a waterfall on the property. We were parked close to the highway but even with that near, it was peaceful and perfect. We can't wait to go back, especially to stay on the upcoming secluded spots.
First time staying somewhere thru Hipcamp. Very enjoyable stay! Jamie was the perfect host. Was only a text way and answered all questions promptly.
Full hookup site that was large. Depending on where you park on site, may need longer hose for water & sewage. We stayed in our 31' Class A with towed vehicle and no issues maneuvering around site.
Jamie's property is large and we were invited to explore all including great waterfall!
This was our first time staying somewhere using Hipcamp and enjoyed the experience! The location is great and close to Natural Bridge State Park. Jaime was a great host, very accessible and great at communicating before and during our stay. The RV site is extremely large with plenty of room. The family was able to feed the horses and get plenty of pictures and memories along the way!
Enjoyed my stay at Jamie's. Located close to Red River Gorge which was my destination. The spot I stayed at was a nice open area that I had all to myself. The view was beautiful and it was nice to say good morning to the horses in the morning. :-) I also very much appreciated the level ground since I was camping in my Van. Will be back!
Great Spot! Beautiful scenery! We wish we could have stayed longer because we were just passing through. Jamie was was very nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed! Next time we are in the area we will stay longer to enjoy the beautiful land and horses!
