Great cabin, we’ll be back
We stayed at the Driftwood Cottage while we were in town for the Jeep Jamboree. 10/10 would definitely go back. It is admittedly a primitive cabin, but the air conditioning kept us cool the first 2 days when it was 80 and the heat kept us warm the last night when it dropped to 40. There is no cell phone coverage but there is free WiF (and there’s a sign at the gate that says it’s a stress free zone so I expected no cell coverage).
Patrick is awesome, he literally stopped eating dinner to get us checked in and show us around our cabin (I wanted to tell him we’d figure things out until he finished dinner but it seemed rude).
Patrick’s wife Angelica was also great, she saw us come back our first night and made sure everything was going well. My one regret of our stay was that we didn’t get to try the Costa Rican breakfast because it sounds delicious.
Overall, 10/10 would stay again, only thing I would change is to bring my portable DVD player for when my wife got tired of talking to me, and I’d try the breakfast.
PS I’d never heard of Hipcamp before and was kind of hesitant of something I’d never heard of but if all Hipcamp sites are this good we’ll definitely use them again.
An amazing get away!
The most relaxing place ive found. The Cumberland River is pretty and floating thru Daniel Boone forest was a beautiful experience. 10/10 RECOMMENDED... the hospitality was amazing and its 100% kid friendly.
Wonderful stay. will come back!!!
I was not able to visit by my nephew and his son had a TERRIFIC TIME!! This is truly a family GEM. The hosts were welcoming and helpful The cottage is RIGHT by the river. The pavilion needs more praise on their listing. It was raining their last day there and there were games and hammocks and shelter. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We WILL be visiting in the future!!!
The stay was exceptional!!
The cabin was very clean. The hospitality was great and they made sure our stay was exceptional. The breakfast was the best i have ever experienced. I can't wait for next time!!
Stayed at the Driftwood Cabin. Very roomy and quite. The shower on the other hand wasn't all that great. No water pressure and no hot water. But they do have public shower rooms which was GREAT. The water pressure was on point along with the hot water. The owners are good people and make you feel welcome. I would return again. Beautiful property they have.
Amazing weekend at patrick's point!
Patrick's Point is wonderful, and the Driftwood Cottage was exactly what we needed! Very friendly couple operating a wonderful business in an ideal location! They set us up with the perfect hammock locations, ice for our coolers, firewood, kayaks, a cabin for our group's "base camp," and a wonderful breakfast. Say YES to the Costa Rican breakfast, you will not regret it! Thank you so much for a wonderful time, we will be back this fall and we will take you up on the shuttle offer to paddle to the falls :)
Everything they have offered was beyond amazing. Way better then an over priced hotel stay for nothing. Nature friendly, Riverview, they offer tent camping, RV friendly, to rent a cabin from them or you can boondock by Cumberland River, or just on top of a mountain. 20mins from Cumberland Falls. This place is so beautiful and very comfortable with friendly atmosphere no stress an it's a must experience for your self. This will be ate go to campground of all times.
I can’t say enough about Patrick’s Point. This was our second time there and we will be back. Beautiful property with plenty to do and very nice cabins. The hosts themselves are extremely helpful and kind, making sure you have a great stay. I would recommend the Costa Rican breakfast and some kayaking. Looking forward to our next trip back.
