Beautiful property to explore. Great communication process with owner. Definitely recommend.

Great secluded location. Quiet and calm. Plenty of trees for hammocks, space for a couple tents. We stayed "down the hill" but more space available at the end of the field.

My son and I backpack every fall, we decided not to go backpacking this year but still wanted to go camping. Well Hardwood forest had the feel of being alone in the woods but had the relaxation of a campground without the people!!! Beautiful cliffs, rock overhangs trails and even a baby goat! We’ll be back!!

Our party of four had a great time staying at Hardwood Forest! The farm itself was easy to find and Dustin met us upon arrival to escort onto the property. He was very informative and welcoming, and we had several campsites to choose from.

We decided to set up camp just inside the tree line and had plenty of space to spread out and relax in the woods. It was easy to tell that Dustin had put a lot of effort into making his property a fantastic place to pitch a tent and stay for a while. Also, the view of the night sky is breathtaking!

My only regret is that we did not have enough time to really explore the property, as we spent a lot of time on the nearby Grayson Lake - which is fantastic for canoeing/kayaking, btw.

We very much enjoyed our stay would absolutely love to come back to Dustin's farm. Our booking met all of our expectations and then some. What a great place to spend some time. Thanks again!

We had an absolutely fantastic time visiting Hardwood Forest. Dustin and his wife were fantastic hosts, making sure all of our needs were met...and then some. They even brought us dry firewood during a rainy day to make sure we could still have a campfire, and also brought us freshly baked cookies.

The camping area itself was beautiful, private, and clean. This made for a very relaxing getaway. We explored the wooded camping area, the nearby cliffs and overhangs, and even got to know the pony and goats.

We had little to no cellular service while visiting, which was a plus in our eyes. It allowed us to unplug and relax.

At night, we were entertained by the sounds of nature. Owls, coyotes, and whip-poor-wills sang us to sleep each night. During the day, there were plenty of places to hang a hammock.

We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back and visit again sometime.

I had the most amazing experience here! Dustin was an awesome host! He showed us around and allowed us to pick our own spot that best fit our desires! The hiking spots are unbelievable and soooo much to see! This is exactly why I would recommend Hipcamp over any camp ground! This is exactly why I LOVE camping! All the beautiful pieces of this property and the unbelievable hospitality that was given... I WILL DEFINITELY be back soon! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! Before we left, they delivered DELICIOUS fresh cookies thanking us for our visit! I am so thankful for this little “peace” of Heaven!

This is EXACTLY what we have been looking for since coming to Kentucky! His land is spectacular - very serene and beautiful. It has been so hard for us to find someplace without other people around, and this was perfect! We will definitely be back and would love to own land like this!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Hardwood Forest! Plenty of firewood, and easy directions. Beautiful rolling hills with cows, goats and chickens. Exceptional host!!! We will be back for future visits:)
