A great mini-getaway being only 25 min from Cinci & NKy river towns. Welcoming to all looking for a little respite from the paved world. This is an easy, simple, beautiful spot to stay for a day or a few.
The 3 campsites are isolated from each other (see descriptions below). Each campsite outfitted with picnic table, fire ring, oil lantern, and a Welcome Kit (includes fire starting material, 3-4 pieces of split wood, and candle.) Additional firewood available onsite for purchase.
Common areas include walking trails, a single-track forested hike, and historic log home (if not rented - see our Away at Green Hill Private Shelter listing!). Shared outhouse is uniquely nice and centrally situated.
Our property is relatively quiet but not pristine. Human activities can be heard at various times and from various activities.

I absolutely love this place and it's hosts! Teri and her husband were so helpful and prompt answering all my questions. Teri even provided restaurant options with the web sites attached! The camping area is wonderful and the log cabin amazing with the restoration and the wraparound porch. I can't wait to go back!
We had an awesome time at Teri’s land! It was a beautiful drive to get to the location and once there the property was green and lush, a good combination of shady and sunny spots, good distance between sites although we were the only ones there so was totally private, nice outdoor bathroom, groomed trails and a neat cabin from 1800’s you can explore. Directions were great and good communication with Teri about check in and other questions. We had a tent and there were lots of options where to place it on our site. We had a picnic table hammock and place for a fire at our site along with welcome kit with kindling, lighter, bug spray, hand sanitizer and information on the land and area. You will love your time at this lovely spot in Kentucky.

Mike and teri are awesome host’s, we have stayed there multiple times and is our go to for a relaxing weekend.
I booked Away at Green Hill (Open Sky and Day Shelter) for my 40th birthday party and had the most amazing celebration. The property itself is gorgeous and the guests had fun doing all the different actives (whether setting up games, hiking around the beautiful trails on the property, or sitting quietly on the cabin porch). The hosts are the most amazing people I've ever met and think of the smallest details to make the camping/celebration memorable (the lanterns, the outhouse decorations, the map of the property, etc.). I'm so glad that I chose this as the location for my party. Everyone who attended had a great time. Party guests even took advantage of the close proximity to Rabbit Hash and Big Bone and made a whole weekend of the party. I'm so glad that the hosts have opened up their home to outside guests and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a celebration, just a quiet night camping, or is visiting the area and wants something more than a boring Florence hotel room. I can't say enough about it and my gratitude for such a beautiful setting.

This is my absolute favorite place to be! Perfect camp spots, great hosts, short drive to kayak, and extra peaceful. It’s even close to downtown Cincinnati if you’re looking for city life too. 10/10 recommend!

Customer service is really amazing here and the owner is an amazing women. Our stay was a little different as it rained during our stay and we forgot to take her advice that it would rain and put the top of the tent on!
The only thing I would say that I wasn't expecting was all of the bugs and spiders that were around! Expect to cover yourself in bug spray 😊 Beautiful spot!
The bathroom was very nice and the historic cabin was cool! The host where very accommodating and pleasant. My only criticism would be that for a longer stay the lack of shower was a negative. We took a solar shower but we didn't have a place to hang it. So just keep that in mind. We also brought our own grate to cook over the fire. It worked perfectly but if you plan to cook you will want to bring one. We purchased the wood add on and it made things super easy! It was a great location for us between Cincinnati and the ark but there was alot of plane activity as we were near the airport. It wasn't overly loud tho and didn't bother us. It was very private and the kids enjoyed the trampoline alot!
