The Light Center offers camping in a 30 ft. diameter Pacific Yurt which is off grid and in the woods. It is essentially a camping experience, with everything that goes along with that (e.g., no power or running water) There is one really great bonus during the cold, Heaters with propane tanks are provided that will warm the cold evenings with joy even in the colder nights.

We love the Yurt! Your own little private space to get away and enjoy the outdoors with the comfort of the yurt. This was our second time coming and we will be back again soon.
We loved staying at the yurt! The woods full of wild flowers and butterflies were right outside the door.

So glad you enjoyed the magic of the springtime woods!
We enjoyed a relaxing evening around the fire next to the yurt. Great land, great space and very private. Perfect weekend getaway.
Beautiful land, wonderful people, dogs and goats. Dream land, fun to stay the night :)

Nicolai was a wonderful guest and there was good communication. We would welcome him to return!
First off, overall we had a very good time at this location. However, I have two complaints that I hope get fixed for the next campers. First off, being that we went to the Yurt on a chilly night, the heater was a necessity. When we were trying to get the heater going I realized that the propane connected to it was out. I had went up to finish unpacking and happened to see a propane tank sitting out in the grass. Assuming this was for us I asked the young lady there for confirmation of which she said she wasn’t sure. We still ended up taking it and it seemed to be fine. Then I found that the only way to get the empty one off was with a wrench, which I did not just happen to have one on me. I had to ask one of the random people staying on the property to supply me with one. We got lucky because when I went to the main house no one was there to assist me. I felt this was something that should’ve been taken care of prior to our arrival or it at least should’ve been easier to communicate with our hosts. There is also zero cell service out there so making a quick call or text is nearly impossible.
Secondly, the pictures on the listing seem to be a bit out of date. The yurt was not nearly as well kept and clean as the pictures make it look out to be.
On a positive note, the property was very nice and the people staying there were as well. We had a good time but I do believe for an $60/night (+ about an additional $20 in cleaning fees and tax) these things should be tightened up. I would love to come back out to this location at some point just for the experience and good energy but do hope no one else has to go though that.
Unfortunately I arrived very late after a long travel day, but the hosts had set up lights at the front of the short trail to the yurt so I could find my way! The yurt itself was beautiful - incredibly spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again!
Robin was a lovely host, and Andrew was very helpful in showing me around when I arrived! The yurt itself was delightful, though the mice did help themselves to some food I had laying out, I can’t say I blame them. Beautiful woods to walk around, and sitting by the fire was wonderful, even later in the season. Highly recommended!
