Our host Kate was great and the property is beautiful! She was super kind and helpful with any questions we had. The outdoor shower is amazing and is a must try! Animals were super friendly and the livestock dogs GORGEOUS! I will come back when I’m in the area.
Kate’s site was incredible. Honestly, best Hipcamp we have used by far. Think I have done 4 others. They are so incredibly kind, we had 4 kids and they allowed them to feed and pet goats and included them the whole time. The site is perfect, open spaces to roam and set up a tent. Having water, grill, and a toilet (clean) was awesome. So fun to have chickens roaming around! The one thing I would advise is consider ear plugs for night if not used to animal noises. Didn’t bother me but I could see how it could. The pond was so clean. You can actual fish and catch. We caught about 8 bass and several bluegill.
Not gonna lie, this is one of those places I want to save for myself because I know we will be back. I couldn’t do it to Kate and Anna to write a bad review though:) This place is the absolute tops!!! Def going for 2 nights next time.
There was plenty of space to stay at Kate’s property. There was a toilet and running water easily accessible for us, as well as a mini fridge and grill if we wanted to use them. We came during when there were baby goats, and we were able to go into the paddock and play with them. There are three large Great Pyrenees, they are super friendly but they do bark at night so if that would bother you make sure to bring ear plugs! Overall a great experience and perfect for animal lovers.
I had a great time solo camping. Previous remarks about animal and wildlife noises at night was not an issue. The farm was super quiet and tranquil. The dogs were friendly gentle giants. Kate met me at the gate and provided a nice overview of the property. In case you have a hard time finding the place, just look for the pink flamingos. It looks like a regular house from the road but opens up to a nice little farm in the back. Definitely will be back in warmer weather to explore the pond.
It was really pretty and lots of open space to let the kids roam and feel safe about it. Loves not having other people around. The animals were a fun addition and the girls enjoyed running around with the chickens and petting the dogs. The biggest bummer was the farm dogs that barked for a good while late into the night. Not sure if that’s normal or if it was an off night for them.
Kate was an amazing host and camping on the farm was super fun. I went with my 3 daughters and wife in October, and even though it was a little cold, the girls had a blast with all the space and the farm animals. The animals were kind of getting loud at night, so Kate graciously gave us some earplugs (which I should have brought myself). Super fun experience and would highly recommend it.
We loved our overnight getaway at Kate’s! Kate was a gracious host and we enjoyed chatting with her. The dogs were so friendly and we enjoyed the chickens and the goats too. The bathroom worked out well and the running water for hand washing was great too. We can’t wait to come back!
What an excellent place to camp. The hosts were super friendly and the animals were as well! My daughter loved them all, especially Dexter! Would definitely recommend!
Kate was very helpful. The host were very nice and tolerated our boys following them around feeding the animals (chickens, turkey's, ducks, goats & dogs) for hours. We got up at sunrise and went fishing. Then had our fill of farm fresh eggs for breakfast and went on our way. Our boys had a blast. We couldn't recommend this camp enough. The bathroom is a composting toilet, pretty much a bucket with a toilet seat and a tarp for protection from view, which I suppose would turn some people off.
