I was expecting the missile silo in the middle of my camping adventure to be a nice stopover and instead it turned out to be a highlight of my trip. The beautiful landscape complete with a gorgeous sunset and the wind turbines not only gave the ultimate Kansas camping experience, but there was so much more! The missile silo tour took about an hour and not only was a great insight into American history but also a look forward into the possibilities for survival and sustainability. Matthew the host lit a fire for everyone and we had a great visit as the sun set. There is also a lake nearby with great swimming and views. I highly recommend this campsite! Would love to come back and stay longer.

Matthew was awesome and his dog Buddy! He enthusiastically walked us around the property describing the history, then we entered the underground silo and command center which he explained in detail the Differences in an S and E Silo and Next version was the Titan. Very interesting!! Views on the property were great. He even had a fire for us and two other couples, we enjoyed good conversation and a restful night. Google and Maps directions are misleading. Contact Matthew for best directions, but very easy access and short distance off I-70 on paved roads.

Wow. What an amazing and unique experience. We loved the tour of the missile base, where Matthew provided fascinating details about its history & infrastructure. He was friendly, beyond hospital, and we enjoyed learning about his visions for the site. The tour, experience, and amenities are well worth the price (in fact we would’ve paid more!) If you’re passing through, we’d 100% recommend a stay!

Matthew was awesome and welcoming, with a blazing campfire waiting at the site when we arrived. He graciously accommodated our late arrival, and was a phenomenal host and tour guide. The silo tour was a highlight of our entire cross country trip and a truly unforgettable experience. Matthew’s knowledge of the history and silo design details were exceptional as well. We were the only ones camping that night, and we had our pick of locations to park and set up our rooftop tent. He helped us find a secluded spot behind some trees to act as a wind-break. We woke up surrounded by wind turbines, which was extra cool, as both my wife and I are fascinated by them. Unique but adequate and clean bathroom facilities as well. He has some great plans for the property, and we look forward to camping here in the future to see how things are progressing. When we left, he gave us some awesome tips to visit nearby towns and a beautiful lake. Thanks Matthew for everything!

Matthew was a great host and the missile silo was a blast - all pun intended. Set on a hill and surrounded by fields and a wind farm, the property is beautiful and peaceful. Then there is the tour of the silo itself, which is awesome and a little other-worldly. If you didn’t know it was there, you wouldn’t know it was there. At the end of of a long travel day, I had the pleasure of sitting around the fire on a windy Kansas night and having a great conversation with Matthew and Buddy, his dog. Definitely recommend!

Matt’s property was so incredibly cool. In addition to the awesome silo tour, the grounds were set up for a real fun time with a communal camp fire and cornhole-type activities. Will be staying here again in the future!
