Jako Farm is a working regenerative farm, and this campsite provides an easy view of all that goes on here. The cows and sheep will graze near by while the chickens scratch in the distance. You'll see the farmers moving the animals to new pasture and the llama playing games with the sheep. If you're up at sunrise, you'll see Ken bringing the cows up to the barn for milking

If you're up at sunrise, you'll see Ken bringing the cows up to the barn for milking (April through November).
Its pretty quiet here, except for the subtle noises of wildlife. (Fair warning: if you're in a tent, you will probably hear the milking machine kick on at 6:30am.) We're also proud to be a smell-free farm because all animals live out on pasture.
There are killer sunrises and sunsets here. If you're lucky, you'll also see our resident bald eagle pair soaring through the sky.
A bathroom with shower is available for your use in the barn nearby.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
My first Hipcamp experience was delightful. This is a nice grassy campsite by the silo and trees. It's a working farm, which isn't a bother, rather a pleasant pastoral setting. The clean and nicely stocked bathroom is accessed through the farm store which is stocked with a variety of nutritious farm fresh products and some souvenirs. Daniel's sister has painted a variety of wholesome murals to enjoy, including on the back of the bathroom door. Daniel was easy to communicate with by email and phone for detailed coordination.
Best overnight hosts in the world
Great first experience at a hosted overnight! Both hosts helpful and Oli the Labrador made sure I was taken care of and I think I have enough excellent meat for awhile may have to go back to just get more but I sure would stay again😍
Gorgeous farm, very nice (father of the) host, good amenities and the farm store products we got made us want to turn around and go back for more. I cannot recommend the Silo enough!
Starry night sky
Our stay at the silo was picture perfect. Shooting stars under the night sky, Ollie the resident farm dog and an awesome farm store! Be sure to try their Kiefer pops and Vanilla Greek Yogurt. Wonderful, kind family.
This stay was last minute for us. We were able to buy dinner from the farm store on the property. We were greeted by Ollie ( family dog) he hiked to the Arkansas river with us and never left our side. Ollie hung out by the fire and slept outside our tent all night long. The bugs were nice and loud. I will be scheduling a trip every year on my way out west and back. * side note even though the owner was on vacation they were responsive and someone was on the property to help and answer any questions. This was our first Hipcamp and we were very impressed. Thank you.
Great scenery, great people!
This farm and campsite is fantastic! Daniel and his family were so welcoming and helpful. The place is serene but secure and very, very comfortable. I can't wait to come back! (Oh, and make sure you let the dog take you on a walking tour — he's an amazing guide!
