Peaceful weekend on beautiful land
We loved staying here! We stayed mid October and everything was just gorgeous. We arrived and let ourself in the gate, there was a great mowed path down to the pond and around it. We had gorgeous sunrises over the pond, and great sunset views as well. Heard lots of wildlife, and the pond was stocked but we didn’t fish. I would definitely return!!
What a great spot!
Great campsite! Brandon is friendly, the area is private and maintained really well, the pond is fantastic and chalk full of fish, the dock is new and has an umbrella on it for extra shade, and the space was perfect for our dog to cut loose without having to worry about anything. I caught so many fish I lost count and my wife soaked up some sun on the dock. My wife and I had a really good time and plan on coming back with our friends as soon as we get the chance. If you’re looking for a good spot, you can’t go wrong with this one!
A secret fishing hole
This campsite feels like one of those places I would pass by as kid, looking out the window while my parents drove, wondering what was just out of sight.
Pulling out into a field at the designated point, you drop down and out of sight from the road. Light vehicle tracks lead you down and around to a stocked pond. The elevation around the site is kind of like an amphitheater.
Cows from neighboring farms watched me cook dinner with my dog. They mooed as the sun sank down into the hills. Coyotes sang their role call. At night, the bugs around the pond were amazingly loud and clear sounding.
In the morning, the air was thick with dew and fog.
I had a great time at this campsite, it's a hidden gem!
