Most comfortable camping imaginable
This camping spot is amazing! We were the first campers to stay here, and we were totally in awe. The views from the main camping area are incredible. The ground there is level, well kept grass, perfect for tent camping. Our tent has a mesh ceiling for star gazing, and boy were there stars to gaze at! There are multiple electrical outlets at the main camping area, as well as two water spigots, making camping extremely convenient here. There is a wedding venue/event space up a short stone path from the camping area, where bathrooms are located. The bathrooms are well stocked with hand soap, toilet paper, and small touches like tide to go wipes/flushable wipes etc. This is luxury camping folks! There is another short walk to a gorgeous modern airbnb with additional bathrooms for campers. These bathrooms are also beautiful and the showers have plenty of hot water! We had plans to explore the area more than we did, but the views are literally so amazing, and the weather was so gorgeous, all we could do was lay in the grass watching the water and clouds roll by. We brought dogs with us, and they loved the huge grassy area to run around and play! If you DO come camping here, I recommend bringing an awning or some kind of overhead cover, as this is a huge clearing with no shade. There is a gas station about 3 miles away that sells ice, and about anything else you may need. We felt safe and secluded the entire time we were here. We are already planning our next stay! Additionally, the host, Drew, was extremely easy to communicate with and friendly! He made sure we were well taken care of for our entire stay. If you’re looking for privacy, views, seclusion, and an amazing drive through the flint hills to your destination, then look no further.
Not private, but the sites are nice. We had a gorgeous view of the sunrise over Tuttle Creek Reservoir, and the stars overhead were stunning. The restrooms in the event building were pristine. There was great site access to potable water. All-around a great stay.
The view was AMAZING! Nice well taken flat are to build camp on. We took our 3 children and they weren’t bored for a second. So much around to explore. There was a hidden trail on the area that we went and walked for hours. The sunset was to die for and we all laid out and looked at the incredible view of the stars that night. Lots of sun, which luckily my family loved.
