Located on the Flint Hills Trail State Park in Allen Kansas, Basecamp Flint Hills offers camping in the scenic Flint Hills of Kansas. BFH is 20 miles north of the world capital of gravel cycling, Emporia KS, and 20 miles east of historical Council Grove. BFH has hammock trees and shaded acreage for tent camping, a no-frills bunkhouse, and two back-in camper sites for those who prefer a bit more luxury. This is a community style campground where picnic tables and campfires will be shared with your neighbors. We encourage you to expand your circle and enjoy the experience! Seasonal facilities include an open air, cold water shower and port-a-potty available April through October. Site 2 - BFH - Camper Sites

Gravel path from campsites to shower & bathroom; some way besides solar to provide warm shower. Very quiet, peaceful location right next to Flint Hills Trail. Great place for groups, small or large.

BFH - Boondock Sites

I enjoyed my stay at BCFH during Flint Hills Gravel. It was great to have a Basecamp to return to (with excellent al fresco shower) after 127 miles of open roads and wind. Good folks to share a hang with after and Amy & Darius are great hosts.

Awesome little peace of heaven!

BFH - Sleep Shack

The sleep shack was amazing!! After a long day on the bike it was nice to be able to sleep on a bed instead of an air mattress in a tent. Was nice and roomy and the fan gave us plenty of air movement since it wasn’t hot outside yet. Would definitely stay here again!

Manicured, well kept campsites. Clean toilet and shower. The property has a fantastic layout for tents, trailers, rvs & hammocks. The kitchen and picnic area is topnotch. Basecamp Flint Hills is obviously loved by the amazing hosts.

Site 2 - BFH - Camper Sites

Space was in great shape. Everything had greened up nicely. The new shower location is a big improvement and all the facilities were well maintained as usual.
