We will be back soon!
We will be back to Tri-Pond! This place is the perfect balance of glam and rustic. The fire pit on the hill is amazing and so great to cook on. The fish were biting and the view was beautiful. The toilet was a bit more rustic than I’d expect from a composting toilet but the extra touches put up by the hosts made me want to return soon!
Out of all the campsites I have stayed out, this one has some of the best views you can get. The sites overlook three ponds that are easily accessible to walk to and fish. The sites also have a grill, fire pit, and table which makes it very easy to prepare food. There is also plenty of flat land to put up our tent. The host is also very accommodating and made sure my group had everything we needed. I would definitely come back!
Camping with a view
The view at this campsite is beautiful. The three surrounding lakes reflect the sunrise and the sunset, which makes for great photos. My group had a great time and would definitely return. The host makes sure you have everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Each campsite has a grill, seating areas, fire pit, and plenty of space for a tent. The location is very close to Pella and also red rock state park which is a big plus!
Just as described
We needed something close to Des Moines and this worked great. Pond and lake views from sites. Has nice amenities like fire ring and a table, some pans. The lake is across the street basically. Unfortunately it was not swimmable during our stay so that was a bummer but not the camp sites fault by any means.
