The campsite is on a peninsula in the Lake Red Rock, about 50 miles in south-East of Des Moines, Urbandale, Ankeny, Altoona and 60+ miles from Urbandale and Waukee. This site under shade with 10 acres of trees around. Three private fish ponds around it. Perfect for tent and hammock summer camping. The Lake Red rock boat ramps, the Whitebreast Park and the Whitebreast beach are nearby.  It is about 10 minutes drive to Pella or Knoxville. Come and stay for Pella Tulip Times in May, or Pella Fall Festival in September, Hot Air Bloom Festival in July Or Memorial weekend Or Knoxville Raceway Nationals competitions, and much more.- see deer passing by in the evenings. - Walk to the top of hill to watch beautiful sunsets.- cook camp food over fire with a tripod, or use you wild surviving skills,  drive your off road vehicles and much more.

We had a very enjoyable time. We stayed in a tent at site 4 which was in the woods. There were others at the other sites however the sites are spread out well so they do not interfere with each other. Two of the ponds were in a short walking distance and the compost toilet was a short distance up the hill from the site which was great.
