This camping site is located on a top of hill with large open space and view of the lake. It has a fire pit with a tripod for camping food cooking, and a log sitting areas around firepit. This campsite surrounded by 3 private ponds for fishing and of 10-acre timber area and a couple hill for hiking.
The campsite is in a 40 acres fenced private land on a peninsula in the Lake Red Rock. It is about 50 miles from Des Moines, Iowa. The are also a lots to do nearby. The Whitebreast Beach, Red rock lake boat ramp, Historic Coal Ridge Church, and Youth park are within a mile.
These campsites are perfect for road trip stop to enjoy the nature, family relaxing camping, Van-camping, friends gathering, or come and stay for local events in the nearby cities, such as in Des Moines, Newton, Pella, Knoxville, Oskaloosa, Monroe, Pleasantville, Indianola etc..
Note: You will need bug repellent during summer. We do not use any chemicals on site. Ticks are common during earlier spring and summer in the grassy areas and woods, but not usually found during Fall and Winter. There may be hunting gun sounds near or far during hunting seasons, but absolutely no hunting or trapping activities in our camping ground.

Tri-pond is a great place if you’re looking to relax and to take in all of what nature has to offer. Beautiful view of the sunset and the best place to enjoy the outdoors . Wish we had brought our fishing poles as the ponds looked like a perfect fishing spot. Anna, the camp host, is very generous and accommodated all of our needs. Would definitely recommend to others.
