Four thumbs up!
Truly the nicest private campground I’ve ever been to. Gracious hosts, fascinating winery and a great site to camp on. Interesting walking paths, castle for us to visit. Eye popping starry sky. We’ll be back!
Everything i could have dreamed of!
Mark is the kindest, most grounded host. He was incredibly patient with our little kids (5 kids aged infant to 5 years), helping them find the kittens, feed the cows and pick grapes. He made us feel so welcome. The property and campsites are immaculately kept, with beautiful attention to detail around the trails and campground. The bathrooms and shower are high quality, a really nice touch which we appreciated after several days of camping across the US. Out of our ten day road trip, this was the most relaxing and serene stop. We stayed two days and I could have easily stayed for a week. It's hard to put my finger on what makes this stay so special. Everything was just perfect and really special.
We enjoyed our quick trip here. We were lucky enough to feed the cows and learn about life in Iowa from the owners. Great camp sites and clean bathrooms and warm showers! Worth the visit.
Mark was so hospitable and was really fun to chat with. He let us know there were kittens in the barn and we had fun playing with them. He even showed us a little bit of how they make the wine. Clean bathrooms too!
99 Bottles Winery Hills is a wonderful, quiet, and serene camp site. The bathrooms and showers were clean. I was greeted upon arrival by the host Mark, who had many suggestions for hiking, sightseeing, and entertainment in the area! We were able to enjoy the darkness for stargazing at night. We will definitely be making a trip back to stay again soon!
