I had a very peaceful night here and enjoyed pitching my tent in the soft grass, lots of fireflies, and beautiful wildflowers (as advertised!). Although this site is listed for RVs, the host confirmed before my arrival that I would be able to tent camp. (Just note that there is no bathroom for tent campers.) I arrived a bit late, and my hosts were gracious to show me to my site and check in with me again in the morning. This was a great place to spend the night while roadtripping across the eastern US with my dog, and I recommend it if you need a quiet stopover not too far off I-90.
Gail has created an absolutely sweet and serene haven on her property- a fresh mown meadow of soft grass next to a pond, the site is snuggled up to a lovely wooded area. It was so refreshing to walk barefoot on the soft grass, no RV mat needed - after being in so many RV parks. Heaven. And Gail is a stellar host - helpful, personable & so very sweet. This place is the bomb. You will be blessed to stay here.

Wildflower Woods Edge is a beautiful camp! Gail and Charlie are friendly and helpful hosts. They met me in their driveway when I arrived and provided a hose for me to fill my fifth-wheel's water tank. They provided information on nearby activities and where to find a dump station when I left.
Gail only lists that there are 2 campsites on their property, but there are multiple perfect sites around the pond, and they're in the process of developing more. Gail gave me free rein to choose where I wanted to set up.
About 30 minutes after I got set up, I was sitting outside and I heard some rustling in the grass behind me. I looked back and saw a flock of wild turkeys walking through the camp! Later that evening I saw three deer, and the day before I left I saw a huge turtle walking from the tall grass down to the pond! The wildlife at this property is amazing!
The location is conveniently located near civilization with urban resources, but Wildflower Woods Edge is perfectly secluded and private. I would highly recommend this Hipcamp location!

Great hosts who allowed us to enjoy camping on there property for the night. Was gray for a quick getaway by a bon fire within a few hours of Chicago.

This was such a lovely site! It’s right by the pond. Gail was no nice, she had water ready for us and offered to get us some ice which was so nice! She even had a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the table which was such a nice touch!
