Creekside Camping

We really enjoyed camping on the farm! It was rustic, authentic, peaceful and engaging. Forrest and Jennifer were wonderful hosts, extremely friendly and happy to share both their own farm adventure and their knowledge. Our son was over the moon about getting to help with farm chores and has repeatedly asked when we can go back again!

We've now been to Heavenly Acres three times, and we'll be back. It's always a little different, but always comfortably similar. We camp by the creek, help with the chores, and then do fun stuff in the area during the day. This year we went to the Indianapolis Zoo, which was about 35 minutes away. Camping, a farm and a zoo in the same day? Tough to beat.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Heavenly Acres. Our two little ones enjoyed exploring the fields and meeting the animals - and as others have mentioned Forrest and Jennifer are very kind and thoughtful hosts.

I don’t even know where to start, our stay was so amazing! My daughters request for her 5th birthday was camping and “rock climbing” with mom. I try to avoid big campgrounds with my kids because they get too busy and noisy. In my search for the weekend, I found Heavenly Acres which sounded like the perfect fit. It was only 45 minutes from Turkey Run, which wasn’t bad at all. Forrest and Jennifer were so wonderful, kind, and helpful from before we arrived to departure. We had so much room by the creek, we were able to spread out and enjoy our campsite, even play ball and tons of yard games that we had brought. We sprang for the farm tour experience, and it was worth every penny. We got to join them for all their chores, meet and learn about all the animals, and experience things we never would have. My daughter was so excited each time it was chore time, I couldn’t get her there fast enough. They were so patient and kind to explain and talk about everything. My daughters most favorite part was collecting eggs. And they were happy to set aside some that she collected so we could purchase them at the end of the weekend. When Jennifer learned my daughters favorite animal was a bunny, she was excited to show her theirs, and even got her out in the cuddle sack for my daughter to hold on her birthday. It made her day so special! We ended the trip visiting the farm shop, and purchasing some things that Jennifer had made. The outhouse was one of the most clean and inviting to use, more so than I’m used to. I truly can’t say enough about our wonderful stay here, and we look forward to coming back next year!

Staying here was simply magical. We got to set up where the creek makes a fork in the field, and going on their farm tours was the highlight. Will definitely make time to come back and see the animals grow up.

We’ve been to Heavenly Acres twice now, and will definitely be back again. Our kids (6 & 4) love helping with chores, and we all love the relaxing setting for pitching a tent by the creek.
