We would definitely stay here again! The cabin was nice and clean with nice little added touches: the owners left us coffee filters and disposable coffee cups for the coffee maker, there was a map of the trails on the wall with a helpful hint to take a picture of it, hand sanitizer in our personal outhouse along with a night light, firewood stacked at the cabin, and more. Greg stopped by to say hello and was very friendly. We had a nice time walking through the woods, playing in the creek with our puppy, and watching the horses.
Lovely spot to spend a quiet & relaxing weekend! Cabin is clean and temperature was very comfortable. Very nice shower house! Lots of firewood and a large grate to cook over the fire. 100 wooded acres to roam, we lucked out in being the only ones camping this weekend. Only advice is make sure to bring your bug spray.
The place is absolutely beautiful and the cabin is very comfortable. But the description and the pictures are not what is there. You are not allowed in the barn (that was a huge draw for us). There are no animals (like in the pictures, there are a couple of horses and that is it). And there is not a tripod to go over the fire (as described).
Nice, quiet, good weekend get away
Nice place. Quiet and lots of space between cabins. Comfortable beds. A bit of a time getting dry wood for the fire. Wood at site was damp. But the host was helpful in getting me set with what I needed. I’d go again for sure!
This is my second time at this lovely piece of heaven. The cabin is charming and all of the details Annette puts into your stay definitely shows! She even placed something by the porch so i could have a step. She’s incredibly thoughtful!!!! :) A weekend just doesn’t seem like enough time! My little girl loved getting to pet the mini-horses and goat. One night, I cooked campfire chili and relaxed by the fire. I love love love this pure slice of heaven and cannot even begin to do it justice with my words. I definitely recommend the green door cabin!!!!! You won’t regret it. :)
This is literally a special slice of pure heaven! Annette goes out of her way to make dreams come true and make your stay extra special!!!!!!! This was my first hip camp and camping experience and I have to say... I’m spoiled! I want to go back!!!! It rained during our weekend but I’m already planning round 2. The only suggestion I have is to maybe bring a piece of wood or stone as a step if you’re like me and have a difficult time with a large step up. The cabin was fine for my daughter and friend but it was difficult on my knees to step up on the porch. I plan to bring wood or a stone with me next time just to help as a “little step.” Otherwise, everything was just pure heaven in the country!!!!!!!! I even made a local friend. I absolutely love love love love love Annette and the green door cabin at Guthrie Meadows!!!!! <3
This place was absolutely breathtaking and had plenty of privacy. We had so much fun exploring and hiking the trails. Annette was a delightful host and went over and beyond. The cabin was already heated up for our arrival, firewood was stacked and ready for us, the was station was a nice touch.
