For tent set up, you are able to choose to camp In a wooded area (which has access to the lake), or an open site by the water. The campsite is about 1/4 mile off the highway, with the wooded area providing you some privacy, and protect you from the wind. The open campsite allows for a great area to sit and have a view of the lake. Do you like fishing? There plenty of fish to be caught! Large mouth, crappie, and bluegill. You are welcome to bring your own canoe, kayak, or paddle boat and explore the lake. Great little spot to come, relax, connect to nature, and to unplug for a day or weekend!! Get some exercise on the kayaks rowing across the lake, or just relax letting the waves take you where they will.

Absolutely great stay! We had two families camping with 7-10 years old kids. Everyone loved kayaking and star gazing at night. The kids loved hiking the trail. The adults loved the privacy and peace. The compost toilet was fresh and convenient. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Jill and Ben!

Very private. There was some traffic noise but we did not find ut bothersome. Gracious hosts. Good fishing. A very relaxing getaway!
We had a wonderful time at Camp Sour Worm after a day of hiking at Turkey Run. The hosts were communicative and had clear instructions for finding the property. We enjoyed the brick grill and peaceful lake to paddle around. The bundle of wood we bought from the hosts was very generous. Overall great stay!
Camp Sour Worm was the perfect location to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle. Ben and Jill were very friendly and accommodating hosts. We will definitely be back!

The campsite was very beautiful and private. The Ben & Jill were great and very accommodating. Our kids enjoyed swimming and kayaking in the very nice lake. Did I mention, we loved the privacy, felt like a world of our own...which we definitely needed! Unfortunately our trip was cut short due a horrible storm that drenched all of our sleeping gear! We were thankful to be in an area protected by trees! It was quite the adventure...one we will never forget!
Great weekend getaway. Beautiful property. Jill was very helpful!

The site is very private and well-shaded by trees, with a small dock and a nice view of the lake. Jill and her family were incredibly welcoming and helpful at every step of the way. We had a great time there, and would highly recommend Camp Sour Worm!

Jill was a great host and there to greet us upon arrival! Swimming, camping, and relaxing was all thoroughly enjoyed at Camp Sour Worm
