Camp along beautiful Buck Creek!   Beaver Bend is our most popular camping site. Our guests love the beauty and seclusion of this site. It can easily accommodate two four-person tents, and there are some great places to hang a hammock. The creek is great for wading and cooling off!   This is the best spot to experience wildlife such as beavers, great blue herons and wood ducks.  Beaver Bend is secluded and there is a moderate/strenuous ~5 minute walk up a short hill to the parking area and facilities.

A place of spirit and beauty, Buck Creek Sanctuary is a 58-acre botanical, wildlife, and human sanctuary located on Buck Creek in Harrison County, Indiana, just 40 minutes from Louisville. BCS is a permaculture demonstration educational farm.  We also are a member of the United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary Network.   Native and medicinal wildflowers grow among the oak hardwood forest and eastern red cedar groves. Beautiful Buck Creek flows along the eastern edge of the property and is perfect for wading or relaxing. Hiking trails meander through the gently rolling hills. Backcountry campsites are private and secluded, and available along Buck Creek or among the trees in the forest.

Great place, very quiet. Beavers are active and fun to watch and listen to. Steep trail to the creek, so plan accordingly. Well worth a visit.
