Need a place to stop for the night but want to wake up to a beautiful homestead? Or need a weekend getaway from the city? We have the right place for you then. We live on a stunning 3.7 acre homestead in Illinois. We have a covered RV canopy with a 30amp RV hook-up (electrical not included but available for a small fee). Grill and bon fire pit on site. Enjoy the pond which is stocked with fish or just the tranquil scenery you’ll be surrounded by. Short, quiet trails through the woods. In the summer, enjoy fresh veggies and fruit from the gardens when available or homemade goods available for purchase from our general store. It’s the perfect spot to stay for a night or even longer. Note: There is no toilet available at this time. We do provide a list of 24 hour toilets just a short drive away. We hope to install an outdoor composting toilet in the late spring.

You found it!! this is the spot...
So much to explore— so little time! What a wonderful respite spot on my journey… There were trails, vineyard, the pond, and cute little places to sit throughout the property. Friendly, kind, helpful and compassionate hosts too???
Don’t miss the opportunity to check out this spot!!
A lovely spot with perfect hosts!
They are perfectly accommodating, friendly hosts and the campsite was just right for escaping for 2 nights away from the city. You have the option of pitching tents into a more private patch if you don’t mind being out of reach of the power jack. Their land will only get more beautiful over the years as they appear committed to native plant landscaping all around. We enjoyed a very restorative break. Strongly recommend this spot!
I take long distance motorcycle trips and use HipCamp for my overnights. I travel fully equipped with backpacking gear on my bike.
I hate staying at public campgrounds. Most are horrible and have no privacy. I can do without all of the amenities, so HipCamp is a better option for me.
The above said, Megan's spot was great. I was skeptical, at first, because the location is literally in a suburban neighborhood and you're camping in someone's back yard. However, Megan and Kenny are quite welcoming and I immediately felt at home. I was able to pitch my tent in a nice flat grassy area, overlooking a pond, and spent a quiet comfortable evening. It was perfectly suited for my needs and I highly recommend.
Great little place to chill out
Nice spot. It’s was raining a bit and the covered area worked out great. Host was great. My kids had a blast. Good place to kick back for a night or two. Not huge area and sort of in suburban spot. But fun little trails and nice yard for wiffle ball. Cheese board and s’mores were provided and great. Cute dogs and cats. It was very well set up and communication was top notch.
