This stay was the best that I have encountered when using Hipcamp - the site was simply OUTSTANDING and very affordable given the space and amenities.
Coming up over the hill and a turn into the property, you are greeted by with what can only be described as an oasis. Jo and Leon have made an escape that you can stay at that includes a small pond and a carport to camp under. A firepit and picnic table are there for your convenience and they even provide a small prep table and firewood.
The setting is beautiful; fish jump, frogs ribbit, and geese visit. The sun sets in front of you as you sit on the provided bench and look out across the water in the evenings. Amenities come aplenty with a provided shower and out-door bathroom.
As hosts, Jo and Leon were very accommodating, providing a list of rules and visiting for a little bit. Most may not like this, but I find it is better to meet face-to-face and have clear communication with the hosts of any given site.
If you are fortunate enough to stay here you will not be disappointed!
Jo has made the perfect campsite in my opinion.
Absolutely fantastic!

A great place to spend the night while passing through on I-70. The frog chorus was in full swing in the pond right next to the campsite.

Jo was great! She was super responsive and came out to meet us even though we had a pretty late arrival. We were only there to get some sleep on a cross country road trip and her driveway did the job. The only thing that we all agreed could be a bit better is it was fairly noisy and tricky to sleep. There are a couple dogs next door who were barking a fair bit all night and morning, and the toads and cars passing by were a bit noisy too. Definitely not an issue if you’re prepared, but I think we expected it to be a bit more isolated than this.

We have never had an issue with the neighbors dogs. Unfortunately my husband and I both had to be gone all day on Fri so we put our dogs outside. We have the wireless fence so they don't come to the campsite but I'm sure they could see your Uhaul and knew someone was there. Our site is on a somewhat busy road during the week.
Great spot. The gravel drive is nice and level. The covered carport is a nice addition to give extra shade. There is a table to eat at, plus Adirondack chairs to use to look out over the lovely pond. They had firewood stacked up for use as well. They put alot of thought and care into making this a nice place to stay. There is also power available and a porta potty if needed. We would stay here again.

First Hipcamp experience and it was awesome. Beautiful hosts and beautiful country setting!
Jo and her husband were a delight! Both super gracious. Came over to make sure we would have a great experience. I will definitely stay again!
The site was beautiful. Setup really well to enjoy the sunset across a pond. I really enjoyed nature singing to me throughout the night. Had one of the best sleep scores from my Whoop device in the last 30.
All of the essentials were provided. Very relaxing and peaceful. The sunset was impeccable.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed your stay and the sunset.
