A nice time
I really liked camping here. It overlooked the river, it was super quiet, and they provide free firewood, since the nights were cold when we stayed. Just some things to be aware of. It is mostly and rv park. There was probably 20 rvs. But there was no noise or smell from generators or engines, I really didnt know how all that worked before I stayed here in a tent. It has pit toilets, which I got used to. If you like roughing it, but the woods are too secluded and scary, this place is perfect. The owners were nice and one of the other campers offered us chili, so the vibe is super friendly. It’s close by fernclyffe, so we did that during the day. All in all a good trip.
Nice place to stay
Riverview has a slightly unusual feel to it with several semi-permanent trailers on site. That said, the view of the Ohio River, especially at sunset, is fantastic. We had overcast weather, but on a clear night its probably a good place to see stars. Nita is a wonderful host. We had a small electrical problem, which she had fixed very quickly. She also made sure we knew of some approaching bad weather. Would definitely stay here again.
If you’re looking for an out of the way, quiet, riverside campground, this is it! No bells and whistles, just a basic place in an amazing location right next to the Ohio River. It was just what I was looking for!
Small quiet rv park
Small quiet RV park with a beautiful view of the river! Morning had lots of rabbits running around. Owner/manager very nice. On a slope so may need additional leveling blocks. Otherwise a very peaceful place to stay. Only was there over night so could not tell you if it was nearby anything. Would stay again!
Pretty and quiet
This was a great spot to relax for a few days. The owner met me on arrival to assist with picking a spot. There were several available. There is water and electrical hookups, however they are on opposite sides and can be difficult to reach both. I opted for a site that was under a tree and could not reach my two connected hoses to the trailer. I opted to just put water in my tank and that worked fine for me. There were about a dozen other trailers at the site, however they were all empty except for one that had a person coming and going. So it was VERY quiet. There was a bit of lacking in maintenance of property but nothing horrible. The lake is lovely bit there is no access from property. I would recommend this site.
