Nice stay in taylorville area
I set up my vintage 13-foot camper out by her shed, just yards up from the pond. I had easy access to electricity for the camper. The wedding venue on the property looked wonderful. You definitely were out far enough that you didn't hear any sounds of a city. Speaking of the city, it turns out Taylorville itself has lots of "hidden gems", if you'd call them that. There's a couple two or three good coffee options, one that's an airsteam, and one that's just a sort of super class open air place that serves custard as well. There's a great burger joint downtown that has craft beer as well. You're close to Springfield (and Decatur) for more shopping and eating/drinking options as well. I didn't have any luck pulling bass out of the pond, but maybe that was just me. It was still a great spot to stay, and Jo Jo was very helpful, and she gives you your privacy.
Nature, fishing & exploring
Peaceful off the grid spot. Saw lots of birds along with nightly chorus of frogs and turtles. Fantastic fishing and lots of areas to walk and explore We had access to bathrooms and electric which made the trip great. JoJo was a wonderful host. This is a great spot ,will definitely return… thanks Jo Jo
Very nice place and host
Jo was real nice and made sure I had what I needed. Unfortunately, I was woken at 3am because the dogs were barking right outside my tent. But after half an hour they lost interest so i was able to get some sleep. I would still recommend this spot.
Everything was great! Jo Jo is very nice. Pretty property. Nice dogs and goats. Has electrical hook up. Only down side was the playground was closed but it didn’t matter because the kids enjoyed exploring the property.
We had a nice stay at Jo Jo's farm. We arrived after dark and had a bit of trouble finding the place because the address in front ends with 39 and we found the wedding venue but weren't sure if we were at the right place. But soon one of Jo Jo's employees saw us and we found out we were in the right place. The wedding venue is awesome, we were able to use the very clean bathrooms in there which was nice, and we were able to camp anywhere on the property. Jo Jo brought us a firepit and firewood, which was great! Would definitely stay again
