This was a fantastic opportunity to be close to the action, meet fun new people and enjoy a special corner of Illinois! This site was set up by the property owner specifically to host eclipse enthusiasts. While there was no water\electric on site, both were readily available nearby.
Vineyards are also abundant nearby, and one of the Lincoln-Douglas debate sites is close. Thete is no shortage of restaurants if cooking at camp is not desired. The hosts were even able to connect my wife up with the local 24 hour gym owner so she could work out.
Great, fun people and a unique experience...
