Emerald Acres was a delight! We were greeted by the sweetest of pups, Stella, some good looking llamas and baby goats. There are multiple campsites to choose from, an accessible bathroom and shower, cute little garden. This may seem a little off the beaten path, but it’s worth it! Maybe bring some earplugs though cuz that sweet pup barks a lot at night. 🐕

Beautiful setting and the animals around are so fun to watch. However, Stella (the dog) and Frank (the African chicken) stole the show. Both of them stayed with us most the day and night. Stella came in the morning with Frank to hang out while we were packing.
Really great place for overnighting and near to Route 66
Really enjoyed camping on the property! Site was quiet and well maintained. Monica and Jim are fantastic hosts.
We had a great time sitting by the fire, hanging out while Stella (the dog) kept a watchful eye on us and didnt ask for anything in exchange other than chin scratches.
Frank (the New Guinea hen) was a hoot. He provided the much needed alarm as we were backing out camper into place and kept us entertained with his antics.
Dont even get us started on the Llamas, goats (with their babies!!) And Petunia the pig. They were hesitant at first. But warmed up to us later on also got their pets in.
Fantastic experience overall! Thank you Monica and Jim! Hope we'll cross paths again in our future adventures!
Peaceful country setting. Loved kthe animals. The hosts were friendly especially Stella!
We absolutely loved the privacy of this site. The fully functional bathroom was a very short walk as was the cute critters. Having a pup for weekend company was a bonus as we left our 5 fur babies at home. We have already recommended this site to friends and I’m sure we will continue to do so.
Emerald Acres is MAGIC! Peaceful, serene, charming … just a few words that come to mind as I think about my lovely little camp out. Monica was a prompt and clear communicator. Stella, her sweet pup, is the perfect welcome ambassador and hiking guide. And the llamas, goats, pig, and guinea hen (I think) are friendly and beautiful. I recommend whole heartedly and look forward to staying again in the future!

This was a perfect place to stay for an evening. It was a private campground experience with lots of cute animals to stare at. We hiked a few trails on the property that were nice. Monica was very responsive as a host.
Monica was very accomodating and the property was very clean. It was quiet and the llamas and goats were awesome. I can't wait to bring my kids back to show them the llamas and goats! Also to check out the trails!

What a lovely campsite! The goats and llamas were fun to meet, and they even had potbelly pig! We rolled into the campsite at dusk, but it was still easy to set up camp and make a fire. Monica was friendly and kind and we enjoyed our stay
