This stay was the highlight to my trip in southern Illinois. The camp was quiet, very clean and oh so beautiful (the dogwoods were in full bloom). The host was awesome and super helpful and friendly. Im definitely coming back.
Dan was great about staying in communication and being flexible about our arrival. Really great spot for family camping.
We had a wonderful time exploring the grounds, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. My daughters spent an afternoon swimming and jumping off the lily pad. It was uncrowded and relaxed. Site manager, Chad, was very helpful and the people we met were friendly. The yurt was roomy, clean and comfortable. Can't wait to come back
This place is awesome. We wanted peace, quiet and a more alternative camping experience and we got it. It was like having a huge campground all to ourselves, apart from the few other familes who were staying there and who were all extremely nice and thoughtful. This is the exact experience I've been looking for during this entire Covid summer- space to run, play, rest, and just not worry. The lakefront is ideal. Having full access to kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards made our experience so special and memorable. My 7 year old learned to SUP in one afternoon and she'll be talking about it for months to come. Already planning our next visit!

What a wonderful place to find, especially at this time! Plenty of open space and privacy, clean and comfortable yurts, grill and fireplace under the roof of pavilion with picnics tables made cooking easy and the nice beach and plethora of kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards made for so much fun!
This is a gem and I'm so glad we found it! Best part was that it is dog friendly and everyone there had dogs off-leash, happy as could be. We'll be back for sure!
The campground was beautiful and quiet. The beach was perfect! The water was warm and very clean. We had an amazing time using the kayaked and paddle boards. The beds in the yurt were very comfortable.
Great break from the world, phones worked but limited charging and no video games so grandkids enjoyed the outdoors and the lake was awesome
It was a great get away with the grandkids, it allowed freedom from the world for awhile, host was responsive to our needs.
Serene and absolutely gorgeous. I stayed in the yurt with my two kids and had a wonderful experience at this campsite. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The lake and beach are amazing! We enjoyed the available boats and SUP boards. We also explored the trails to the Cascades which was fun and a tolerable distance for my kids who are not into hiking.
The two yurts on site are hidden gems in the forest. There is a shower house with flushing toilets up the path (next to the camp's road) and an outhouse closer to the site. Ask about on-site water availability. Hosts gave us a charged power box (many USB ports) and a light for the yurt, which was nice to have.
I love this place and look forward to going again.
