Loved it! Our weekend with our pooches was just perfect! That saying…. I would only do it again knowing for sure no other campers were there as “camping spots” are really not abundant. I would say there are two max, and only if you feel comfortable being super close to others. Highway didn’t bother us at all, as we are used to street noise. Lake/ pond was beautiful, clean and abundant with fish life. Caught quite a lot of little fish and also a huge 5lb large mouth bass ( my personal best), saw a huge gold fish swimming there as well! Tiny fire allowed, dock is not for the rain of heart and neither are the stairs leading to it. I would 1000% do it again if I knew it would be just us again but I cannot imagine being there with others, because of the tight squeeze of campsites.

My boyfriend and I had a great time with our dogs. The lake was beautiful and seemed really clean. They had a paddle boat and a row boat on the property. There was a fun zip line. We did bring our own fire pit but there was a small fire pit there. Having a portapotty was really nice. There was toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and hand wipes provided. Only complaint would be the stairs were broken as you headed down to the pier.

Actual campsite was nice and the sunset over the lake was beautiful. Campsite is a bit hard to get to if you’re not direction savvy. Highway is very loud as you’re right next to it. It kept us at night and we weren’t able to sleep. The stairs to the lake are a bit sketchy and old and we didn’t try and get down them to get to the lake as we thought we’d fall in. Host answered our questions in a timely manner. Overall, the highway was just too loud for us.

It was a nice place to camp for the night. We were passing through the area and wanted to camp here instead of a campground. Even though the site was next to the highway and the train tracks were nearby, the road and train noise wasn't bad and honestly, I prefer it to the generators in a campground. The lake was pretty, and there's a few fish in the lake. Anthony was easy to communicate with, answered all my questions.

Site next to the lake. Our rig in front. Another camper in the background. Didn't see nor hear this person at all.Highway in background but otherwise, quiet.Sunrise over the lake.

This was a lovely, isolated, tranquil little gem. We were the only folks there. A beautiful view of the little lake and farmland/ natural prarie. Pleanty of trees. Picnic table. Fire pit. Outhouse. Then on top of it, a small collection of watercraft toys! We paddleboated the first night and kayaked the next morning. I also noticed how much care Anthony clearly takes into treating the water. I know that's not easy in a small, stagnate body and it was beautiful.

Cons- it is right by a 2-lane highway, but you really don't notice (except the 2 times I dropped my shorts for a quick swim trunks switch, and then I was like...hey folks) . Our backs were to the road, looking at the water, the whole time.
He mentioned life jackets worn was a must (I can see why- you're isolated, it's deep, lots of vines). I thought they'd be provided, but it was a 10 minute drive to Walmart, $7.99 buy well worth it. They'd be too gross to want to wear if he kept them there.
I'd recommend some signal at the drive enterence (doesn't have to be a sign, a scarecrow, a red bungee on the fence- makes me feel more confident having something like that to look out for). But didn't have any trouble following the directions and finding it.
Would definitely go back. Great deal. Thanks Anthony!
