Historic Alton

Host was nice but i dont think hes been to this property in some time. First we followed the directions listed and it ended up at the end of a street in one of the worst neighborhoods ive ever seen and every single person was standing outside staring at us like a horror movie. Did not feel safe at all so we got out of there and tried to contact the host to see if there was another place we could park. He gave us another street to go to the end of and told us there should be no one there. When we got there we couldnt even get to the house he said to park by because there were 5 or 6 broken down cars just sitting and the end of the street. As both camping and paramormal enthusiasts we were really excited for this trip but this is a far stretch from a campsite. Its woods in a high crime area right in the middle of a crowded neighborhood. I cant judge the inside of the woods because we never went in due to these circumstances so after spending $50 to reserve this spot with
no refunds and a 3 hour drive there to turn around and have to go home really ruined our holiday. My advice give this property more care if you want to turn it into a campground. Get some fencing and security so your campers feel safe. We were hoping to get scared about ghosts not getting mugged and shot
