Shabby/chic 1912 barn glamping
We loved the entire experience at Hank and Aissa’s. We stayed in the historic 1912 barn which was fully equipped with everything we needed and tastefully decorated. The bistro lights both inside and out of the barn added to the shabby/chic touch. The entire property was very well kept and welcoming.
The chickens were such a delight to watch running around and Mr. rooster crowing to the morning sunrise.
We enjoyed the wonderful campfires each evening, the stargazing in the beautiful clear night sky, wonderful sunsets above the corn fields, Country bike rides down the small gravel roads, laying on tubes in the sun on the relaxing river nearby and checking out the sights in town not too far away where we took in kayaking, paddle boarding and a night festival at the bandstand.
Hank and Aissa were very kind and hospitable. They welcomed us with fresh eggs and homemade pumpkin bread.
We would not have changed a thing from our farm glamping experience.
Thank you Hank And Aissa.
The perfect getaway
Absolutely loved our time here. Not only were the hosts so hospitable, but we were cozy the entire time as well. We loved making a camp fire and we also went for the eggs to be included in our stay, which was the best part! Can't wait to come back and to tell all of our friends about this spot.
The lights in the barn at night along with the night sky was a beautiful sight. We had a fun dinner outside among the cute chickens walking around us, and a lovely campfire to end the night. It was a great memory and I highly recommend.
Wonderful and relaxing stay after a long drive. Loved how open the barn was and Aissa and Hank were fantastic, making sure we had all we needed. As nice as the barn was for just the two of us, it would be perfect (and so much fun) for a small gathering. Wedding or ladies weekend. We would definitely come back.
Don’t forget to grab some fresh eggs!!
This was a much needed respite. Hank and Aissa were excellent hosts. The barn had lots more than we anticipated- mini fridge, freezer, microwave, nice bathroom and extra blankets. Our kids loved the chickens, fire pit was great, and hosts were available and helpful but also let us have space to play and relax. We did the river trail hike at rock springs- was lovely!
We had such a fun weekend staying in the 1912 Vintage Barn. The barn itself is so cool... definitely your authentic barn experience but with a few cute decorative touches. Our kids loved it. Just expect to be woken up by the resident rooster at the crack of dawn. The place has a fire pit that we used for a campfire style dinner and s’mores, and each morning we had fresh eggs from the chicken coop. They surprised us with a pot of coffee in the AM which was also super sweet. I would stay here again. And recommend it for anyone who wants a new experience.
