Janece was a very nice host. She told us all about their 16 alpacas and we got to feed and pet them. So soft and fuzzy!
Our stay at Janece's farm was terrific! She is a warm and wonderful hostess. It was so nice to have an option for power! So worth $10! She is on a busy street but the traffic was completely quiet at night.
I would highly recommend!!
The is a lovely little patch of grass to camp on for the night. It is on the owner's front lawn, with a nice picnic table and very clean porta-potty. The host was extremely friendly and we loved her dogs and alpacas! We learned a lot about alpacas from her which was really interesting and fun for us and our kids. Her dog Rocky is the cutest and friendliest dog we have ever met! Only downside to this place is that it is on a very loud, busy road (strange because it is just a 2-lane residential street but cars go by very fast on it). Overall it is a great option though and fun for kids.
It was a lovely stay and Janece was a great host! It was nice to meet the Alpacas and hear her story. I would definitely love to stay there again.
Amazing host. Awesome hospitality. Hidden gem. Kids love the Alpacas tour.
We loved staying with Janece and she was so hospitable! Her alpacas were great with the kids and our young daughters loved feeding and feeling them. Such a nice stay for us. We would definitely stay again and recommend.
Finding the location was easy based on the GPS coordinates in Google maps. Janece is a delight and her little farm is a wonderful experience. The alpacas make quiet neighbors so we slept very well. The dogs are super friendly. The road is busy during the day but most travel stopped after 10 so no problem there. There is a very clean porta-potty for tent campers like us. The alpaca tour is worth the extra money so bring cash for that or book ahead; I don't think Janece takes cards on site. Alpacas aren't terribly friendly but you can feed them and then pet them when they are distracted. They are the softest thing you've ever touched! The rooster was quiet until 6 a.m. so that was a blessing. We really enjoyed our stay. Janece is a very accommodating host but doesn't hover. The picnic table under the trees is a great spot for meals or just hanging out.
We loved this site. The campsite itself feels a bit like camping in someone's front yard but any unease about that disssipated quickly. The hosts, were absolutely wonderful. Letting us and the kids feed the Alpacas, play with the dogs, jump on the trampoline and just overall making us feel extremely welcome. It was a great experience. Our only regret was only being able to stay for one night and not more.
This hipcamp was just what we were looking for. It is close enough to HWY 20 to make it a convenient stop along our long drive but far enough away from the highway so that it felt peaceful and was quiet.
