Truly enjoyed staying here and look forward to doing it again! Hosts were awesome and let me borrow an extension cord since the one I had was defective. Clean, well maintained, awesome location, weather was beatiful, town was incredible. The only bummer was a large dog that enjoyed barking late at night and early in the morning that echoes LOL. This is not the fault of the camp, this looks to be a dog locked on a small tiny property next door(I would probably bark 24/7 if I were that dog living like that). Other than that, I can't wait to go back and explore more!

Nice quiet place to stay by the river. Very accommodating hosts. Interesting nearby ghost town. There were plenty of fire pits, horse shoes and pic nic tables. Also really loved the benches overlooking the river.

This was a great place to stay. I just wish that we had more time there. Lisa and Phil were so friendly; you can tell that they love hosting. We have a 30 ft. Motorhome and small car we tow and there was no problem driving and parking.
The GPS tells you that you have reached your destination around 2-3 miles, so be sure to read Lisa's instructions and keep going and you will see it on the left.

My wife and I enjoyed the friendly hospitality from Lisa and Steve(?). They were eager to help us get hooked up and had good advice on what to see, particularly on our bikes. We recommend their Park to everyone.

This was our first experience with Hipcamp and it was an amazing first experience. Lisa and her husband were very welcoming and made our 5 night stay Very enjoyable. As we were just passing through we wished we had bikes or a side by side to enjoy more of what Wallace and Burke is known for. Overall this stay was 10/10 nice bathroom, 30 amp hookup, and water! And we very much enjoyed feeding and watching the chipmunks! Would definitely come back!

This quiet spot is located along the side of the road that runs through the canyon (just West of Wallace) and alongside a creek, to the old mining town of Burke. Most of the RV pads appear to be gravel, with electric and each space had at least 2 patio chairs and a small grill. Lisa was very helpful and accommodating, and offered to fill our fresh water tank if we needed water. We would have liked to have spent some time exploring further up the canyon but we were short on time. Tent campers are hosted in a nice grassy area closer to the main house. We had a brief issue with our power when another camper plugged-in, but that was quickly resolved.

Reminder to campers who hook up for power: please make sure the circuit breaker where you connect is turned OFF before you plug-in your power cord. It's also a good idea to use an RV surge protector to make sure the systems in your RV don't get fried if something goes wrong.

As a side note, on the way to this campground, you will pass through an area of extremely shabby dwellings but don't be concerned, as the area improves as you drive further into the canyon, where Lisa and her husband are working hard to improve the area. We would definitely stay here again and wish we had been able to stay a little longer. It's a great base camp for all of the interesting things to do here.
