Please understand, we are a busy Horse Motel as well. My Horse travelers may be accommodated last minute and the amenities that I offer are changing all the time. We are experiencing a travel and RV crisis in this area, meaning there is an extreme demand for RV's to be accommodated. Please understand, we are a busy Horse Motel as well. My Horse travelers may be accommodated last minute and the amenities that I offer are changing all the time. We are experiencing a travel and RV crisis in this area, meaning there is an extreme demand for RV's to be accommodated. We are NOT an RV park and although I do have 6 - 30 amp, 2 - 50 amp and at least 10 - 110 electrical plug ins available, there are times we are very busy. I have 3 listings on Hipcamp, but many times, there are other campers here for the Horse Motel. Yes we are busy. Most of the time I can offer exactly what you want, but other times, you may have to be flexible. I have had many types of campers and we truly do our best to give you the experience you are desiring; however, be kind, if I appear to be taking on a few extra campers... that might be you someday whose truck broke down and you needed a last minute place to park your RV or requested an extended stay. We are a home. We are a farm. We are friendly and we care about each and everyone of you. But we are NOT an RV Park. Namaste!
We are an active working horse barn where we can offer riding and horse interactive opportunities. There is a walking path nearby, beautiful sunsets and LOTS of horses. Flat RV pad, water and electricity and great tent sites. This location has a bathroom with toilet only. Dogs always welcome. ***more on this site**** Remember, we said "ACTIVE" horse ranch! We feed horses on 4 wheelers and we might be busy early or late doing what we do! If you ever wanted to stay on a busy horse ranch, this is the place for you. If you wanted to go camping like say in the mountains where you don't see people for days....this is not the spot! LOL We also offer kids and adults riding opportunities. More like a riding lesson or a pony ride, but not a trail ride. If you want more horse interaction time, let me know in advance and we will most likely be able to arrange it for you (for a fee ;))

Risa’s barn is awesome. Gorgeous horses, stunning views, perfect set up. We had a lovely stay and I even got to ride with her trainer. Location was convenient to see DT Boise and some surrounding towns. Hope to be back someday!
Unique and enjoyable stopover
It is unique and different from staying at a typical campground. Risa was an accommodating owner/hostess. If you want to breakup a typical camping trip with a change try Laughing Horse. Our stay was short yet enjoyable. Wish we had the time to do some riding. We had lovable visitors, rooster, chickens, goose, wander through the camp site.
Unique spot near boise
Excellent spot. Wanted to spend a week in Boise but none of the parks had availability. Laughing Horse to the rescue! Nice flat spot with 30 Amp service. Loved waking up to the sound of the horses nickering at their morning feeding.
A perfect spot for the night.
When we arrived the owner had a cozy little spot reserved for us right by a beautiful gazebo that filled up at night with barn swallows. It was right next to a wonderful well water connection and we were offered the use of apatio table and some very comfy chairs it was very quiet and very cool to sit under the leaves.
We had a great stay at Laughing Horse Camp. Risa was very accommodating and we loved getting to see the horses. Our girls, 3 & 5 years old, also got to do a horse riding experience, which they loved. I would definitely recommend this place to horse lovers!
Great overnight spot
Read the description. It is kind of an industrial horse farm, with tons of gravel, office buildings, and stalls, giant stack of hay in the middle. Lots of flies. You are not setting up your chairs outside and setting up. It is fine for 1 or 2 nights, but I think Risa is pretty up front about that. Speaking of, Risa was a delight to deal with, very nice. We enjoyed the area, had great cell reception and went to Boise, and the village and had a great time.
