Thanks of checking us out! We actually have 2 similar locations offered in one listing so you have choices! Both places are farms... which means you will see farm equipment, possibly see a fly or two and you might hear farm animals early in the morning! Both locations have a real bathroom but only one has a shower! Choose carefully! LOL yes, I LOL a lot - thus the name
LOL yes, I LOL a lot - thus the name "Laughing Horse."
Site #1 Laughing Horse: The first is an active working horse barn where we can offer riding and horse interactive opportunities. There is a walking path nearby, beautiful sunsets and LOTS of horses. Flat RV pad, water and electricity and great tent sites. This location has a bathroom with toilet only. Dogs always welcome. ***more on this site**** Remember, we said "ACTIVE" horse ranch! We feed horses on 4 wheelers and we might be busy early or late doing what we do! If you ever wanted to stay on a busy horse ranch, this is the place for you. If you wanted to go camping like say in the mountains where you don't see people for days....this is not the spot! LOL We also offer kids and adults riding opportunities. More like a riding lesson or a pony ride, but not a trail ride. If you want more horse interaction time, let me know in advance and we will most likely be able to arrange it for you (for a fee ;))
Site #2 Lucky Me Ranch: The other nearby location is more secluded and peaceful. We have a horses, a donkey (the donkey is sometimes at the other ranch, so if donkeys are important to you, ask where he is a couple of days before you arrive and we will direct you to that location!) , a cow, chickens and a goose on this location. We provide a full bathroom and shower. RV pads and tent sites available here! Dogs are always welcome here too! ** more on this site** there is a rooster here and he wakes up early so you might wake up early too! And... we are making improvements on this property so there may be some construction going on. One more thing... let me know more about what type of experience you prefer... some like the grass, some do not! Some want to be remote, others need electricity. We try hard to help you get the experience you prefer, but well it is hard to please everyone especially since I never picked up the art of mind reading! LOL
I only list this as one because I also run a horse motel for travelers with horses and keeping all the listings as one helps me organize. Speaking of Horse Travelers, we do get quite a few travelers outside Hipcampers that are staying with us as a pit stop to another location. You will at times be sharing the camping experience with horse travelers at either site. Don't worry though, they are always friendly! When you book, I will ask you which location you prefer and I will make sure you get the correct address! Thank you for understanding!! Happy Trails! Risa

We loved our stay at the ranch. The location, energy, hospitality, and facilities exceeded our expectations. If you love the outdoors and animals ... you will get your bucket filled here! Hope to stay again. Thank you Risa!
My husband and I were traveling in our trailer and we needed a place to stay for 3 nights. Risa answered all my questions quickly and got us in on a last minute reservation. Clean, beautiful ranch. Risa even invited us to dinner. And that’s not all, we had two families meet us at the ranch for horse riding lesson (a total of 6 girls). Risa was great! The girls did not want to leave the ranch and she made their day one they will never forget. I would stay at the Laughing Horse ranch again.
Risa was a welcoming and helpful host. She gave me a tour and made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable. The spot was far from neighbors and plenty private. Would stay again!
Great experience! Risa was welcoming and friendly and even checked in when I was running behind schedule. She gave me an quick tour of the facilities and even shared some veggies from her garden. A+
Stay here for a unique experience!!
We are SO IN LOVE with our whole experience at Laughing Horse Ranch/Happy Horse Campers. We were looking for a unique, fun, socially distant experience in the Boise area on our family road trip. We contacted Risa and she got right back to us. Not only were we able to park our motorhome right next to the horse stalls, we were able to connect to water and electricity (no sewage). We arranged for a horse ride for our kids. They started in the rink, and after Risa assessed their comfort and skill she moved them to the arena. In the morning they got to ride again and it was much more of a lesson than a “ride” which we absolutely loved. She even brought out barrels and taught them to ride around the barrels. It was so far above and beyond what we’ve experienced in the past that it really felt like a gift. Her rates were very reasonable too.
She owns 2 properties. We stayed at Happy Horse Campers which is a horse boarding ranch. You will park/camp right among the horses on a level hard packed dirt surface. The staff will be there caring for the horses which we thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone is really friendly and made us feel welcome. This was a last minute decision for us and a highlight of our trip. I can’t recommend it enough!
