Enjoy Scotchman's peak and mountain views, sightings of wildlife and horses, stargazing, forest trailheads just down the quiet road; all in a relaxed beachy atmosphere. Shopping, tourist attractions, and all that comes with an eclectic town are just an hour away in Sandpoint. However, a few excellent restaurants can be found in Clark Fork and Hope. A note for booking your best stay: Campsite 1 has the best views, but is best for tent camping or very short trailers. Campsite 2 is flatter and the better option for trailers, oversize tents, and larger groups.

I spent the last two nights and Jeanette and Richard's, it was great! They are friendly, gracious host with a lot of helpful information. Lots of stuff to do nearby, boating, fishing, etc. The view of stars at night from their hilltop property were spectacular. Highly recommended!
Thanks Jeanette and Richard!
We enjoyed our stay even more than our first visit last year. It was fun watching all the animals, especially the new kitten. The company of our hosts was second to none and we feel like family. It was so quiet and peaceful there. It was super close to a wonderful boat launch that we used to kayak from both trips. We highly recommend camping with Jeannette and Richard. You'll come as strangers and leave as friends.
This spot is peaceful with a lot of access to beautiful rivers and lakes. The hosts are friendly and easy to communicate with, plus they have a pretty cool story about riding their horses across the country over 2 years (and I thought 10 weeks in a car was tough!). They keep the outhouse clean and the spot we stayed was large and quite with a pretty view through the trees. From site 2 you can watch their horses too which we loved.
Jeannette & Richard were very welcoming and friendly hosts. Communications were great and Jeannette gave great recommendations. We also enjoyed chatting and riding bikes with their kids. Their place is a little bit off the main road with beautiful mountains and a primitive campground.
Jeannette and her family were terrific hosts. Campsite #2 was perfect for our set-up. #1 is a bit small, we made the mistake of reserving it we were having difficultly backing our tear drop into it, so she let us move to #2 since there were no other reservations. I recommend #1 for tents and #2 for trailers, but that's just me.
We brought kayaks and the have us a great recommendation for a place to use it that we LOVED. Be sure to ask them about it.

The views were specular and private campsite. The family was welcoming and helpful. We loved the animals on the property, especially Blackie, their lamb!!!
