Flat meadow area with some Aspen trees for shade. 1 mile off the highway and 100 yards off my ranch road. Easy access. I have a couple hammocks in the trees already for use. Some shady spots large enough for a teardrop camper to go under. Excellent spot for larger campers and RVs. I have a small reservoir that I stock with rainbow trout that campers have access to 1 mile further up my road. This area is 1 hr south of Jackson Hole. Palisades reservoir is 17 miles east. Boat docks for the South Fork of the Snake River are just a couple miles away. Fall creek recreation area is about 8 miles away. Kelly Canyon recreational area is about 20 min away. If any assistance is needed I am usually working 1 mile further up my ranch road. The ranch road can be slick when it rains, so 4 wheel drive is recommended in inclement weather.

We really enjoyed camping at Aspen Hills Campsite #2. It felt like dispersed camping since the only other campsite is pretty far away so we really felt like we were on our own. But with added amenities like a toilet and a water jug. We hiked on the trails on the hill behind the sites and arrived to a beautiful viewpoint. Our dog loved it too!

It was fantastic! They supplied water and a nice area to set up a campsite.
The area was very private, quiet and we had tons of space. Would be great for dogs to run around!
This was a beautiful and very peaceful place to camp with a family. Our grandchildren loved the land and the open space.
This location was great!
Pros - Tons of short hikes, lots of flat area for tents, hosts were great, lots of shade, close to activities, incredibly beautiful ranch, tons of wildlife (dear, elk)
Cons- You need to bring water. The five gallons they provide was a help but insufficient. One port-a-john for two group sites was a little lean. The fishing pond was pretty terrible.

Oh my goodness! We were in HEAVEN! We were tent camping and we’re looking for a place thst was secluded and simply a spot to enjoy God’s beautiful creation! Aspen Hills Campsite #2 FAR EXCEEDED EVERY EXPECTATION! The spot was PERFECT! Peter did an excellent job making it extra cozy and special with a table and chairs at already at the fire pit! The hammock was such an added blessing! I hope I can share a few pictures because words cannot express or describe this LITTLE SLICE OF HEAVEN that this campsite at Granite Creek Ranch and Terry provided! We will be back!! By the way, I am also in LOVE with HIPCAMP! You guys are AWESOME! Thank you for helping this novice tent camper out! 😉

This site is FANTASTIC. The land and scenery are beautiful and serene, you have abundant privacy, and you are far enough from the road that you barely hear anything except the sounds of nature. Would definitely stay here again. Peter was an excellent host. I have no complaints whatsoever and if you find yourself in eastern Idaho, this is the place to stop and camp for some peace and quiet.

This is one beautiful site. It's the perfect retreat to get away from it all and relax in the farming hills of Idaho. Super fun for our dog to run around with wide open spaces. We saw deer, heard coyotes, swung in the hammock, and watched a golden sunset. Go check it out!

Thanks for the stay and the great pictures!
Stayed in campsite #2 (there are only 2) and it’s a great little private site with stocked firewood, a fire pit, hammocks, and a very clean porta potty between campsites 1 and 2. The hosts’ cute teens stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed and it was a great overnight stop. Verizon worked at the campsite but if you have Tmobile you need to drive to the turnoff for service.

Thanks for staying and for the review. I mentioned to you that the 5 gallon water jug can easily be refilled a little further up the road at a spigot if needed. The porta potty company was not consistently cleaning so i stopped using that company and now use a different company that has been very reliable. We are in a severe draught so this late in this particular summer the fishing pond has dropped a few feet unfortunately.
