Fisherman's Paradise
DON’T FALL FOR THE PICTURES.
This campsite is on the highway. My boyfriend and I were hoping to stay somewhere peaceful for the evening on our way to Montana but ended up pulling off the side of the highway. It is literally a pull off. Immediately, we knew we were not going to stay there. If so we would’ve heard trucks the entire evening/night. I was looking forward to a fisherman’s paradise but instead got a pull off on the side off a highway. Luckily, a friend was able to recommend a peaceful spot just 30 minutes up the highway. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Save it and find somewhere safer where you’ll actually be able to relax.

Keep on Looking
This site costs way too much for what is offered. For $40 a night, there should at least be a good deal of privacy and seclusion, and the site is literally 40 feet from US-20, what semi trucks driving by at 75 MPH all night. There is also no bathroom, no picnic table, no showers, no grill, and no place for a fire pit. There’s barely any part of the site that’s cleared, either, so you have to put your tent as close to the road as possible. For $4 a night, this might be acceptable. But for $40 a night, it becomes the most expensive, worst campsite I’ve used. I’ve camped all over, too. I wish I had better things to say about this site, but honestly, I don’t.

It is just a spot off a main road to park overnight

I’d like to start by saying that my fiancé and I truly enjoyed this campsite and we would definitely stay here again. We had a great time as it was our first stop on our camping trip. Pros: Great directions, you can’t miss it! There is ample parking for whatever you’re driving since it’s a pullout. Nice spot to set up your tent surrounded by trees to give privacy. We were also able to just leave our tent setup and go for the day and it was fine leaving it there. There’s no other campers nearby. Cons: Located right next to the main road to Yellowstone so it can be noisy at night. We didn’t mind too much because we had ear plugs. It was 30+ minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone and after a long day the drive felt pretty far. Miscellaneous: This has NOTHING to do with the campsite/review but there were a ton of big daddy long legs 😂

Overgrown Backyard on the Highway?
I guess if you like an unkept over-grown plot of land directly on the highway, no privacy, in someone’s backyard then this is for you.

Private peaceful awesome
I wanted to have a private place to stay away from the huddle of Yellowstone campgrounds and I couldn't have asked for more privacy than I got Patrick was very accommodating and gave great directions and when I still couldn't find it he steered me right to the spot the place was well kept up and clean and within walking distance was a general store and the Trout Hunter which is a must to eat at kinda pricey but wow, thanks Patrick I'll be back
