Camp at The Flying Cloud Retreat,  a riparian canyon in the high Owyhee Desert, with views and access to the Owyhee Mountains. Here, Hipcampers can unplug from the digital world and absorb the Wild West as it used to be, experience an abundance of what Nature has to offer: hike canyons and sagebrush/saltbush/rabbit brush flats, in the daylight and moonlight, enjoy incredible star viewing, experience incredible peace and quiet. The bird watching is phenomenal (see our list)., and you might catch a glimpse of elusive desert mammals. Guided hikes are available, book ahead. The Snake River, and the historic ghost town of Silver City, and Bruneau Sand Dunes State Park (and observatory) are an easy day trip.

Dogs are allowed, but *must* be kept on a leash *at all times*, no exceptions, for safety of the livestock and of the dogs (ranchers don't take kindly to livestock being chased, and there are prowling predators).

You'll have a short walk to your campsite(s), about 50 yards, and you'll have the coolest outhouse ever to use. Water is potable. No wifi, and you may or may not have cell reception (more likely not). After you book, and before you come, we will send you explicit directions on how to get here. We're 5 miles down a dirt road, and still off that, tucked away along a crick (easily driveable with any vehicle).

Sorry, there can be NO FIRES at any times, no exceptions. Until the earth changes back to a wet climate, we are just too dry for that. (Camp stoves can be used in designated areas.)

Come get away from the traffic and noise and enjoy nature!
