This was our first experience with Hip camp and it was great! Albert, and his wife were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. A few things we enjoyed:
1) Location: the property is BEAUTIFUL and close to lakes/hiking and a great little town: Sandpoint
2) The site: we were in a spacious and quiet spot that had a wonderful view of the lake
3) The hosts: This was our first time camping with our new trailer and Albert was helpful with troubleshooting a few things with us. We are grateful for his help and that this was our first experience camping with the new trailer
My family and I would definitely stay again and recommend to others!
Quiet and peaceful, off the path.
Incredibly quiet and secluded. Good water pressure, reliable electricity, easily accessible sewer connection. The view would have been great if not for the smoke. Everything a camp site should be. A word of caution though, the site is quite a ways off the beaten path. We pulled a 26 foot travel trailer up there and it was pretty tight in places. Not the hosts fault of course, just be aware. A single vehicle or small trailer would be no problem. Would still love to return in the fall.
We couldn’t have picked a better spot!
The hosts are wonderful people with exceptional hospitality! Not to mention the beauty of their land, and the secluded feel you receive from staying here.
They accommodated our 32 foot travel trailer with 2 slides with all hook ups!
We loved hanging around the fire and engaging in conversation with Albert and his wonderful wife and friends!
We will be back to stay when we’re in the area again.
Thank you all again!
We had a wonderful time staying at Al and Sue's Hipcamp site. We had water and electric available to us in our pop up camper as well as a portable potty that was clean. The view is beautiful, it's peaceful, and close to the lake to go swimming. We'd definitely love to come back!
What a nice place to stay. Views of the lake are amazing. The host is very payed back. Extremely helpful if you forgot a piece of equipment with your camper. The lake is just a couple minutes away if you want to go swimming. And the stars from the sight are incredible.
Al and his wife were the best hosts! Very friendly and helpful. And the view from their property is amazing!! We rented a full hook up site and it was the perfect size for our 24 foot trailer with slide.
