In all my life I've not had a more magical overnight stay - Waipio is of course Heaven on Earth, and Cynthia is nestled right in the very heart of the valley. She was incredibly welcoming and the campsite was just what we needed! A nice open space with so much firewood carefully laid out for us. I'll definitely stay here again.

Elizabeth and her friends were full of Smiles and wonderful energy that uplifted my spirit as I had been working many days with the tractor to develop our Taro Ponds. They were so gracious to see the natural beauty of the sacred Valley and not be bothered by the work in progress. Great Souls that I would Love to host again for free!

Cynthia’s place is the most gorgeous location right on the river with a beautiful view back into the valley. It’s a short drive to the beach where we spent our days surfing & relaxing. The kitchen was great and she was very accommodating. The competing toilet is very rustic, so as long as you’re ok with that— this is an insane spot to camp! I felt very privileged to be down there for the weekend! Mahalo

Cynthia has a very special place and any time spent in Waipio is well worth it. It was so nice to have a place to relax and prepare food at night. We spent most of our time at the beach (about a 15 min drive away) surfing and swimming. The place is a work in progress so I would recommend checking in with Cyntia about any recent changes or developments. The area is buggy and muddy by nature so make sure to come prepared for that. Rubber boots came in really handy!

Quite an amazing place and a fun adventure to get there. No joke on the 4X4 requirement. The camp was beautiful and isolated and the sound of the nearby stream was great to fall asleep to. The guys taking care of the camp were super helpful as well. Only recommendation would be to add a fure pit closer to the tented area. All of the facilities were fantastic otherwise, including a ver nice communal kitchen.
Thanks Cynthia!

We spent one night at Cynthia’s farm, tucked away in the middle of Waipio valley. The farm is surrounded by epic views and has everything we could need for a comfortable night. A nearby stream was the only thing to be heard and the sound made falling asleep too easy. Cynthia ensured we had plenty of firewood to light our campsite as we stayed up late gazing at the stars. As we packed up in the morning, wild horses strolled across the farm and completed the Waipio experience!

This place was not as expected. There was no area for tents. Luckily we were the only people there and were allowed to use the cabana to sleep in. The area was extremely muddy and it was difficult to get to the outhouse. The cabana was quite dirty so we had to clean before cooking. There were very few dishes to cook with even though the website indicated a functional kitchen. Very scenic setting but the place needs a bit of work.

Hipcamper Heidi

Scenic, but not a good tent site.

Group kitchen not as advertised. Dirty and needed a good wipe down. Before we could use it. No pots or pans to use for cooking. We had to sweep and wipe everything down first. Water system needs more troubleshooting. We had to shut off the pump so we could sleep. No where even remotely dry to set up a tent, but we were allowed to sleep in the community cabin which is great due to heavy rains. Wild horses have churned up the grounds into a muddy pit making it difficult to get to the outhouse.

Not as advertised. No dishes, no pots and pans, only one propane tank so we had to move it between shower (hot water) and stove. Dirty kitchen, no place to put a tent, outhouse far away on a muddy trail. It’s not a farm.
