Pitch your tent on a beautiful 25 acre farm located on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are located on the slope of Mauna Loa between Hilo and Volcano National Park in a town called Mountain View. The 1500 foot elevation offers a lush, cool climate and a nice ocean view. Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa are visible on clear days. The Bathhouse has electricity. Suitable for phone charging only. No rice cookers, coffee pots, hair dryers, etc. A shower and toilet are available. Wifi is available. Enjoy the banana’s, citrus, jaboticaba and various other fruits when in season. We have fish ponds with tilapia, catfish and bull frogs! Cows and sheep in the pasture. Six tame feral pigs and plenty wild ones in the pasture. Children love playing on the farm and fishing in the ponds. They are guaranteed to catch with bamboo poles or net. We also have frisbee golf and tether ball. Drive to the quaint town of Hilo or Volcano Village both about 15 miles in either direction of the farm. Volcano National Park offers great hiking trails and at the moment an active volcano with excellent night or early morning viewing. If hiking is not to your liking, just relax on the farm.

My fiancé and I camped here for two nights and it was great! It was like having an entire campground with all the amenities all to yourself!
Mae was a great host and very helpful. Her dogs were a welcome addition lol. Great views when the weather is clear! I would 100% recommend!!
AMAZING spot! We had two families - 5 kids total (ages 1-8 years old) and everyone had a blast! Adults enjoyed just surfing back and relaxing while the kids had a safe area for run around and enjoy. The kids enjoyed fishing during the day and catching frogs at night. We will definitely be back!!
Beautiful grounds, great bathroom facilities and grateful that we were able to come and go with ease. Given we spent the day and night at the Volcano national park and came back at about 11pm. Definitely would recommend!

Mae was a great host! The property was beautiful, clean, and a great spot to get away. The views were awesome, and the pond was perfect to do a fire next to. Bathroom and hot shower on site made for a very comfortable experience.

Simply phenomenal! I’d give it 6 out of 5 stars, 14 out of 10 rating. Mae keeps a stunning property and was a warm and welcoming host. Amazing hot showers, and dome cover when it rains. It was so fun to wake up with a cup of coffee on the pond, and toss around the disc golf holes. This place is such a gem!

This is a great spot to camp, we had a RV. The surrounding land is lush with a pond you can catch and feed fish. The washroom facilities are great, hot shower and flushing loo.
Mae had a couple of puppies/dogs which we enjoyed playing with and she has a disc golf dotted around her property.
The campsite is situated 30mins drive from Hilo, and only 20mins from Hawaii Volcanoes NP. Mae was a friendly and super helpful host. I would definitely return again.

Mae was super welcoming and amazing. She made sure everything was in order and even put little flowers around the sink and bathroom area. Her land is beautiful and I loved getting to explore and try some of the fruits she grows on the property.
