Ocean Themed Jungalow Near HVNP

Our unique jungalow provides space to relax and experience nature and adventure like never before. Nestled in beautiful Hawaiian forest, this cabin is ideal for a peaceful getaway. The deck is 18x24, includes a 12x12 room with a queen bed, a covered lanai and private outdoor bathroom. Showering outside near the rainforest is truly magical. Coffee is provided. While this unit is just suitable for two people, we do have another listing where we have combined two cabins for up to 4 people.

The ultimate local experience while providing comforts to make your stay enjoyable. Live in traditional Hawaiian style homes, eat in a traditional Hawaiian style kitchen. For guests unfamiliar with the Big Island, it is not like the other islands people travel to. If Oahu is more Americanized, the Big Island is more of a Polynesian Island. Our property allows guests to enjoy a genuine local experience.

From the cabin, a quick walk down the path leads to the shared kitchen which has a propane grill and side burner, and picnic table. There are also pots and pans, an instant pot, silverware, plates, and glasses. Please be aware that this is a shared community kitchen.

At night your ears will be greeted by the forest with sounds of coqui frogs. Many people love them. Please search for Bathing Suits and Rain Boots on YouTube to find a video of what our property sounds like at night. Our channel also features videos of tours we offer. More to be uploaded, check back often! Our tours include off the beaten path adventures ranging from sunrises and geothermal Kings baths, to illegal hikes that lead to waterfalls! We also do cultural Hawaiian sunset tours to Fissure 8! All tours are local gems that you will not find online or offered by any other tour guide agency. We are updating our ig @bathingsuitsandrainboots regularly with footage from adventures as well! I have connections for scuba diving tours as well as surf lessons too! Contact me for information.

We have boogie boards and snorkel gear available if I’m not using it for a tour or have extras available. Please ask if you need this and I will try to accommodate. There is a detailed welcome packet with a variety of mostly free but some paid must see/do activities on the island!

There are a total of four cabins on the one acre lot. The owners are on property including two other residents, a dog named Valentine, two outdoor cats named Ghost and Tomi, and chickens/ducks.

There is one queen bed in the cabin. We have another listing with a queen bed and air mattress although a max of two people will still be in that cabin. We also have a listing where we have combined the two cabins for a max of 4 people, 2 per cabin. The cabins are right next to each other making it ideal for groups of 4!

Rainforest massages are available starting at $100 for the hour.

Please note the main image is not visible from the cabin. We are about about a 30 minute drive from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

We are at 1880ft elevation so it can get chilly at night. Winters are also rainy season so if traveling to the Big Island in the winter, I suggest some light layers for warmth, a raincoat and rain boots.
